As Kimmie prepares to visit New York City for the first time, she grapples with the sorrows of her past, which have kept her in Oklahoma ever since her parents died when she was sixteen. Will she be able to let go of her fears and embrace who she really is, or will it cause her to lose the man of her dreams and the opportunity of a lifetime?

Everything I want in a rom-com

This was such a sweet read and I loved getting to know Kimmie and Matt. The audiobook narrators were fantastic and really brought the story alive. I also loved how the author was able to balance the light-hearted funny parts with the heavy themes like adoption, and death of parents. Overall, such a great listen!

A fun and fresh rom com

I had the pleasure of beta reading this a few months ago and had fallen in love with Kimmie and Matt but hearing it in audiobook made me fall for them even harder the second time around!

Jennifer Aquino breathed so much life and humor into Kimmie and I loved how she brought Kimmie to life. And Gabriel Spries deep and soulful voice brought Matt’s softness and sexiness so clearly I could almost picture the characters in my head!

I absolutely loved this funny and fresh rom com and cannot wait for more from this author!

Funny Rom-Com

This was a great heart warming book about an FDNY fireman and an Etsy shop owner in Oklahoma. Parts of it made me laugh out loud and the narrators were excellent. Really gave voice to Kimmie and Matt. Highly recommend this audio book and will definitely check out Lyn Liao’s other books.

Hilarious, heartwarming, and sexy!

I originally bought this as an e-book, started reading with my coffee and breakfast, but I couldn't put it down and I had to run around the city, so I had to get it as an audiobook as well so I could find out what happened to Kimmie and Matt! This is such a hilarious romcom, it had me giggling on the subway and then blushing while they flirted. This is a closed-door dual-POV romcom, so it's purely focused on the tension and banter between the two MCs! I inhaled this in one day, and I've been thinking about it since. This is everything you need in a romcom, lighthearted, laugh out loud funny, and at the end of the day, deeply meaningful. Highly recommend!
