Publisher's Summary

I was abducted by aliens and auctioned to a positively lovely, bleak place called the Underwater Pleasure Dome. An amphibious alien with hands like bug zappers helped spring me, and if you've followed my friends' adventures, you know Dohrein and I teamed up because we're both equally stellar, and awesome attracts awesome.

This is the story of what happened after abduction life. The good part. The part where we settle in and build brand-new lives on this brand-new planet.

I just need to have tea with my alien-in-law and convince her to set her pet humans free. No biggie.

Wish me luck.

Note: Is this a stand-alone? Not really. A few brave souls who started the series with this story jumped right in and enjoyed, so it's possible, but I also created a cast list recap that will patch you through if you want a bit of a guide to this world.

Series order:

  1. Stolen
  2. Rescued
  3. Won
  4. Craved

Another note: You'll find this is approximately 70,000 words of Dohrein and Gracie's story, followed by a 10,000-word bonus story revealing what happens when a Rakhii gets loose on Earth.

Bonus Content Unlocked!

I really do love this series. This narrator is my favorite BUT EVEN MORE SO IN THE BONUS CONTENT! I really do love how the narrator is spot on with how cocky Hothan sounds. It totally fits with his character! I'm waiting for Beth and Gwen's stories. I feel like it would be hands down the best!

Sassy, snarky and geeky = hilarious

Dohrein and Gracie make a perfect pair. Gracie has figured out the best way for her to live her new life is balls to the wall, I'm the boss and you can't stop me. Dohrein is the Sheldon (Big Bang Theory) of his people and is content to not have to worry about have a stable of Hobbs around him so he can continue on with his scientific studies. The rescued humans come along at the perfect time and Gracie, not willing to be backed into a corner ever again, has decided to become the leader of the human pack. Since Gracie doesn't see Dohrein as a threat, they band together and study each other and in turn Gracie gets a man and some control back in her life, and Dohrein, while he would never admit it, gets his lady love. The best part of the stories is learning how literal the aliens are due to their translators. It makes you reflect on the language we use and if you aren't from Earth, it takes some serious thinking to understand our backward planet way of talking.

Everyone comes together finally to start a new life and it's funny and exiting to see where the next adventure takes everyone, The bonus read/listen on this with Doc and Hotahn is once again adorable. The Rakhii really are my favorite!

SO MUCH FUN TO LISTEN TO!

WOW - Amanda Milo is a genius writer and combined with Nick Cracknell's masterful narration this is a nonstop listen for me. I laughed, I teared up and laughed again. Amada, please please keep it up! And good on you and your team to choose Nick to narrate. He really "gets" your characters and makes them come to life. Thank you!

???

Not sure what this story was about; it really didn’t make sense to me. I listened to the first book and it seemed a little better than this one. Some of the alien translation was funny, but not enough to keep it going. Needed a female narrator for female characters. This is the end of the series for me.

So funny!

As someone who is listening to this series out of order, I was determined to not like Gracie. Between her interactions in The Quarry Master (the fist book I listened to) and Gracie’s brief introduction in Blind Fall, I did not like her. After reading the reviews I took a chance and so glad I did! Gracie and “Rain” are now a some of my favorite characters. I was delighted the Earth trip is included in this story and really enjoyed the bonus content. There were several laugh out loud moments, and some really sweet scenes. I highly recommend adding this story to your library.

Gracie is hilarious!

The storyline held my interest especially Gracie’s inventive sayings. Gracie and her hobb A+++ couple very likable. This book is one of my favorites of the series. I really liked the bonus book with Jen and her Rakhii. The two children Levi and Cricket interact awesomely with this couple.

***Hilarious***

I loved this book it's totally different from the first couple it's much lighter and very funny. I loved the aliens adventure on earth omg Otan the bonus story totally sigh and aww worth *grins* I loved how he adopted Levi and Kelly and found Doc (Jennifer) to be their Mother. Gracie and Dorien are perfect for each other. the narrative is amazing, Nick Cracknell managed to inject as much humour in each character as much as possible and still uniquely have their personality, thank you.

disappointing

I was really happy to get a book for this couple, they have been a fav of mine since the first book and this one wasn't disappointing till i realised all the foreshadowing was for nothing. Which meant nothing really happen. There was set up for a couple of things but nothing was done with them. Which really disappointed me as i really like this couple. At the end of this book my first thought was 'what thats it's' then 'nothing happened' maybe im looking for to much depth out of this kind of book but why bother foreshadowing if your not going to follow through.
i love the narration
