Publisher's summary

Detective Enid Vosh, a Malefica, or Witch, and recent graduate of the NYPD Academy, finds herself embroiled in a homicide case which points to a serial killer in the city. The victims all wind up being Elves who are hiding in the city as Sapiens, from the International Aelftus Assembly.

Following the twists and turns in the case with her partner, Detective Rashid Sader, with the aid of Enid's own Coven, the venerable Central Park Coven and improbably, a representative of the Elf Assembly, it is a race to find the killer before he strikes again.

Secrets are revealed, including one Enid herself has held her whole life, and a new ally is made. Caroline Duffy, self made billionaire, takes an interest in Enid that is more than just professional, and Enid finds herself helpless against the beguiling woman.

Author’s Note:
Sonia Laun is a fictional character in my Elfed In New York series who wrote a book called Coven Tales in the novels, so I thought I’d share that story with you. The universe her book resides in parallels the world of Elfed In New York that Sonia lives in.

Ugh! Why!!!

The narrator truly isn’t bad but why the hell wouldn’t you listen to previous books to find out how to pronounce names that we’ve come to know??!!!!!
And why wouldn’t the author not listen to this rendition not contact the narrator and correct these mistakes ? Seriously , this takes me out of the story every time I hear something to off. Kelishia Renner is not even close in this reading.

Love how it was brought to life

I really love how this is another view of how things are going after the Elfed series. It’s also kinda Elfed meets Unleashed with Enid thanking people of getting their names. I loved how the narrator brought the magic to life. It was really fast pasted and everything happens in a short span of time but I like that. I look forward to seeing how these characters develop in future books.

The narrator is extremely important in any book.

The only problem I have with this book is the length, more PLEASE. Get that Elftish girl back and ribbon chain her to a desk LOL. As a former military police officer I figured out the killer after the sniper chapter. I know it could have been diluted and twisted more but...

It isn't just the story it was also the narrator that makes the listener hold on. I recently purchased a series by one of my favorite writers and have been EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the narrator. I can't listen to the first book, I only got to chapter 3 and have decided to take the hit and delete the entire series because I can't stand the narrator. I have been extremely impressed with this narrator and hope "both writers" agree to use her again, keep her PLEASE! Now, the next question, when is the next book by our third favorite elf going to come out? (Third after the two in the Elfed in NY series).

I adore the books by Eric Schubach. I love the Asguard/Valkyrie series and the Urban fairy tales series too, so please get back to work Eric. We so love you, so don't make me break out the paper ribbon chains and attach you to your desk, we former military police know how to do that ya know.

Action-packed

This was my first audiobook by these authors, and I was delighted with the unique storyline. This book was fast-paced, action-packed, and a pager turner. The narration by Lois Ridge was fantastic.
