Publisher's summary

To the victor go the spoils. Winners rule, and losers drool.

Those are the rules. That's how it's supposed to be. That's what Cam expected when he survived the Fae Confluence, won all three trials, and ended up the Lord of Winter. At the very least, he expected a high five and a pat on the back for a job well done.

Instead, when he returned to the mortal realm, he was met with trigger-happy UN agents, a spoiled dragon, and a queen succubus who was ready to do anything to take him down. To survive what should be a happy homecoming, Cam will have to use all of his newfound power to protect those he loves. He'll even have to degrade himself to the point of playing... politics. That's a tall order, even for a new god.

Classic journey of the hero story

I liked the characters and story development.
Should have spent at least a quarter of Cam's story in the Fey realm. I don't think that he would be able to just leave the Winter Throne empty. Now you've moved the storyline to Cam having to deal with the All Father, a greater threat than the Winter Court.
Seems like you skipped over what would be a good story line for book six. Looking forward to seeing how you progress the story.
( If I was in Cam's position I think I probably would have brought an army of frost giants to Caesars Palace in response to the purge. The insult could not be tolerated but perhaps it's better he killed the offender himself.

Hot Damn

Another great one. Hopefully there is not a long wait for the next book to hit audio.
I had thought Venus was the final Big Bad of the story, but I'm happy to see there is still more story to enjoy.
Keep it up!

Good but saddened by ending

So I enjoyed the story, I loved Poppy being added but kinda wish the "prisoners" joined the harem.

I'm also extremely saddened by the death at the end. I can see why it has to happen like that considering how dangerous the person was but still.

I also don't think the fatherhood for Cam was well written. "Nice to meet you" and he fled the board room. WTF!? him freaking out and running away constantly is really getting on my nerves, especially when finding out you have a secret son. NOTHING in the world would have stopped me from being a part of that kids life and wanting to hold my son for the first time. (which hilarious would have brought on the end of the book.)

but yeah, I enjoyed the book, just some narrative gripes.

I hate this book but not the series.

I was on board with this series. I loved the characters, the humor and snark but this book just pissed me off. Why give Cameron all that power and make him o so stupid? I can’t even finish this review I am so mad.

Well. That escalated quickly.

I was shocked and afraid for the characters of this latest installment but I was equally entertained and excited to see how it panned out.
