My Thoughts on Contingency Plan

I was barely five percent into this book and I already had the feeling I knew how I'd be spending the rest of my day. And once I was done I didn't know if I wanted to celebrate the totally engrossing story I'd just read or write an angry letter to the author for leaving me hanging like she did at the end.

Don't get me wrong. Remington and Flynn's story is perfectly wrapped up here. But in standard Marie James fashion with these amazing series of hers, she hinted at what was to come. And this time it wasn't just a hint. It was practically a sledgehammer to the head leaving me reeling and desperate for the next book.

Contingency Plan is a must read though. I enjoyed every moment of this story. Even the ones when my heart was breaking for one or both the main characters.

There was humor and sadness, friendship and love. All tied up in this well written romance that I know I'll love reading again in future. Plus the added bonus of revisiting with characters I loved in the previous books. Wren and Puff Daddy continue to be my favorites.

Listening to this on audio took it too a whole new level. For starters, can we talk about Jacob Morgan with a British accent?!?! Amazing isn't a strong enough word, but it's G rated so I'll go with it. Both he and Callie Dalton did a wonderful job bringing these character to life in my ears. I had already read the book but listening to it was a whole new experience and now I want to hear all of Marie James words narrated by two such fantastic performers.

I love Remi and Flynn..

I'm starting to love Audible books. Listening to my favorite books allows me to get all of my everyday life things done while also getting to hear the next books of a series so I don't miss a thing. Marie James bringing her books to Audio is such a great thing. I look forward to listening to the next book in this series and hope you will too. My review for this story follows.

"I loved loved this story. I found this book hilarious and would laugh out loud and times and mad at others. It was sweet and steamy. Overall I enjoyed reading it and once I started I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Flynn and Remi. I look forward to the next in the series."

A mission he never wanted

He never wanted a mission guarding a starlet. Guarding a spoiled starlet’s daughter was an assignment he was desperately trying to escape from. Remington was so desperate for attention she would reach out in any way she could. Flynn was not ready to play her little games and was looking for an escape clause ASAP. He left the FBI on less than stellar choices and he wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Isn’t this where that phrase never say never comes from? This may be a time when he eats those very words and gets everything he hoped and dreamed. Marie James does an amazing job of pulling you in one word at a time and never letting you go. The narrators did an amazing performance of bringing the story to life.

Jacob Morgan with a British accent totally made my day. I may have put in ear buds so he was speaking directly to me. Maybe!

Flynn totally got screwed over with his latest assignment. How did the man second in command get stuck babysitting a starlets daughter? Remington is constantly pulling the ditch and run just to get attention since she apparently isn't getting it from her parents.

This book\audio book was so good. And again I have to praise the narrators for another outstanding job on an outstanding story.

Flynn and Remington are great!!

This is the third book in the BBS series and it is fabulous. It's about Flynn, who is hired out as a bodyguard/babysitter to protect a socialites daughter. Remington has led a life of privilege and wanted for nothing except her parents love and acceptance. They both have a long road ahead of them and a misunderstanding may tear them apart. As always Puff Daddy is a hoot and brings lots of laughter.
