Publisher's summary

The Ashwood women don't have much in common…except their ability to keep secrets.

New York Times bestselling author Maisey Yates enthralls with this powerful novel of redemption, trust and the power of sisterhood.

When Lark Ashwood's beloved grandmother dies, she and her sisters are bequeathed an unfinished quilt. Finishing it could be the reason Lark's been looking for to stop running from the past, but is she ever going to be brave enough to share her biggest secret?

Hannah can't believe she's back in Bear Creek, the tiny town she sacrificed everything to escape from. But the driven musician's plan is to renovate her grandmother's house and leave as fast as humanly possible. Until she comes face-to-face with the only man who's ever been able to distract her…

Stay-at-home mom Avery has built her perfect life, but at a cost. She'll need all her family around her, and all her strength, to decide if the price of perfection is one she can keep paying.

This summer, the Ashwood women must lean on each other like never before if they are to stitch their family back together, one truth at a time…

that the author doesn't know very much about quilting

it's annoying to listen to a story that doesn't know very much about a subject in the title. Quilting and piecing a block/square are 2 very different areas of making a quilt!

Enjoyed it very much!! A family that worked their problems out with LOVE.

Sisters that came together after doing their own thing and deciding families are important and with love it can be fixed.

One of the most wonderful …

Books I have read in a long while. The characters and situations surrounding them are so real. The core of the book is to communicate with our family. Keeping silent or keeping secret leads to terrible harm. Read this … “trust me”

Could be good…

A little too much bickering & no difference in voices. They all sound the same. In my opinion.

Confessions from the quilting circle.

I struggled to listen to this book over and over. I finally had to remove it from my device without finishing it. Felt like I was wasting my time.

Outstanding

Story is constantly evolving and characters are deeper than they appear. I love the way each issue resolves in some way but not as we might hope.

Ok

A little preachy in tone. The narrator probably contributed to that. Overall average story but at times slow

CONFESSION — I WANT MY CREDIT BACK!

This book had good potential, but ended up being so sappy I could barely finish. I stuck with it, hoping it would get better… It DIDN’T.

The love scenes were absolutely CRINGE WORTHY. The three sisters just harped on one another’s faults and shortcomings until about the middle of the book and then FINALLY began supporting one another.

Once back in the house their very imperfect grandmother had raised them in for many years, the sisters find TWO sets of diaries up in the attic. GASP! The lives of the women in the diaries just happen to parallel the lives and problems of two of the sisters, and of course, all the sisters learn deep lessons from them, how to live their lives, and especially about the dangers of keeping secrets.

TOO MUCH YADA,YADA, YADA and not enough story telling.

UGH. Save your credit for something better than this mess of a soap opera.
