About this listen

Mages almost destroyed my pack...how can one be my mate?

Dean fought in the war between my pack and his mage clan...and now the wolf inside of me wants to claim him. I can’t bind myself to a man who was once my people’s enemy. Regardless of the pull between us, I know that fate must be wrong.

But Dean is determined to help us fight our coming battles, and despite his prickly nature I can’t keep away. And when he dedicates himself to training and protecting me, my heart is lost. I’m going to do what it takes to win him over and claim him.

Danger looms on the horizon and dark visions torment my mate. An ancient enemy is waking and if we’re not ready to fight everything we hold dear will be destroyed. We’ll have to work together if we’re going to succeed, but even the combined forces of shifters and mages may not be enough to defeat our fiery foes.

NEED MORE!

I just finished the series, and I NEED MORE!!!! This series is a wonderful mix of "werewolves", magic, and loving gay relationships! I don't think I've enjoyed a book more! I need more and sure hope a 3rd book comes out soon!

The reader was good, though he didn't really distinguish between character comments and new sentences very well. Every time he read "he said" or "I said", it sounded bland and not much emotion behind.

Other than that, it was great! I really hope to read more!

Excellent continuation

I loved the first book in this series where we saw the battle with the dark mages and now we get Dylan's story. This is the classic of a cold, seemingly emotionless character with secrets, opened up by his true love/fated mate. I loved the character interplay, the world building, seeing old friends from the first book and as usual twists and turns at the end that get me excited about the next book in the series. The evil of the dark mages was apparently just an appetizer. I enjoyed Joseph Thorson's performance. It had the right amount of emotion and tension without going over the top and becoming melodramatic.

Wow...

Dylan and Aiden story is intense, with many emotions happening at the same time, fear, hate, desire, love, etc, all around a complex plot about betrayal, intolerance, magic, destiny and faith. I loved especially how the twists and turns made some parts of the book unpredictable. I strongly recommend to read the book in order to fully understand the interaction between the characters. The wonderful narration helped a lot with the few parts that in the ebook were difficult to read, because even if they caused me some angst and a few tears, the energized way Mr Thorson read the book, his smooth voice and his general performance, caught me since the beginning and I was enjoying so much the reading to stop. I also loved the bonus material of previous books at the end. The bonus epilogue was amazing!! Loved it!

Magic and Shifters

Very interesting plot mix of mages and shifters. Here we have two guys fighting their fated bond. But sex is ok.

Quite good

I previously read this book, but actually ended up enjoying it more as an audiobook oddly enough. Dylan started out as such a jerk, but it was easier to follow his softening heart and empathize when listening. The narration was good and the story solid. This definitely needs to be read/listened to as part of a series or a lot of details won’t make much sense. I look forward to the next book in Magic and Claws.

Nice second installment

Aidan is a wolf shifter and Dylan is his fated mate, but he is a mage. They have to figure out how to accept each other and work together if they are to help defeat the evil mages. I enjoyed the story and the narrator did a good job.

A Good Sequel

This is the second book in The Magic & Claws Series. A captivating book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters charming. The characters were developed and thought out. Aiden and Dylan are the MC’s of this book and mates. The narration was good and not monotone. There were different voices for the characters. I can recommend as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
