A great Ava Harrison read!!

I was intrigued by Jaxson in Entice so I was ecstatic to get his story in Conceal!! Jaxson, the so-called bad boy, meets Willow and suddenly finds himself desperately wanting to help her. Or maybe help isn’t the right word, wink wink. As much as she feels the attraction, her secrets hold her back. I loved that this story kept me guessing and fully engaged from start to finish with the help of some fabulous narration by Zachary and Andi!

Phenomenal

Ava has done it again. She has given her readers a swoon worthy slow burn romance which is filled with suspense and intrigue. Zachary and Andi did absolute justice to Jaxson and Willow’s characters and gave life to this story. I had read this story but I honestly enjoyed it more when I listened it.

The story was everything I expected from Ava and beyond. Jaxson was the black sheep of the family and I was waiting for his story. It was so worth the wait. He was the light tempered, easy to laugh and not the serious one among the siblings. There was definitely a layer to him which he hid from the world. There was so much more to his character than meet the eye . He was trying to get his siblings approval , trying to show them he was responsible and can take care of business. This is a beautiful slow burn romance between Jax and Willow . Willow is going through rough times and there are too many secrets which she hides well . The story is captivating and quite engaging. I loved the slow burn romance between Jax and Willow. I absolutely loved and enjoyed this story so much. Another winner from Ava .

Slow, slow, slow burn to boredom

One of the things that really frustrates me in stories is when you know there is a twist or a secret, but you have to wait so long to find out what it is. It is like the whole story is about revealing that. That is how I found Conceal by Ava Harrison.

I basically skipped through the first 5 to 6 hours of it because I was sick of the same things being said over and over. It was disappointing and I couldn't wait to get to the end. I guess it is a DNF for me since I didn't listen to it all.

The only redeeming aspect was the amazing narration by both Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. It was a shame to have them narrating a book I didn't really want to listen to.

If you are impatient and want to know the story, then start about 5 hours in. For me, it wasn't worth the credit.

Twist at the End

Any book in which Andi and Zachary are giving the performance will be worth the listen. It doesn’t even matter if it’s a good book. Fortunately, this was a pretty good book. I loved the chemistry between Willow and Paxton. I love a woman who realizes she doesn’t need a man to rescue her, but she does allow him to feel as if he is rescuing her. This was a very sweet story. I didn’t realize that was a series of books so I read it out of order, but I’m curious to read Addison’s and Grayson‘s story.

Just a rehash of Sleeping with the Enemy

I found this interesting at the outset, but then became disappointed at the turns the writing took. I get really irritated when an author dumbs down a character for the sake of the story. As this moved into the latter parts, it was simply Sleeping With The Enemy with a few variations. Author: As readers, we become invested in these characters. It becomes annoying to us to have a book that starts out strong and original before and then turns into something we're all familiar with. And dumbing down a characters...oy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ava Harrison scores with this perfect blend of romance suspense and enjoyed every second of it.

Willow and Jaxon are fantastic. From their very first meeting to watching them become more, I was captivated by their tentative friendship which slowly simmers into romance territory. Jax never seems to fit in with his family and Willow is on the run from something yet together these two just fit. My swoon-o-meter was broken by Jaxon and how carefully he cared for Willow. But I loved, loved, LOVED that Willow ultimately takes control of her life and saves herself!

Not only do we get a fantastic new romance, but we also get glimpses of past characters and an epilogue that left my heart so full. Definitely a must read book.

Once again Ava knows exactly what her audio fans want to hear and her casting is perfect. Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber flawlessly bring Willow and Jaxon’s story to life. You just can’t go wrong with this narrating duo and an Ava Harrison novel.

Interesting

This book was great at the beginning but got really long and repetitive. The reason why she was in hiding is weak at best.

Swoon

The narrators were absolutely magical in this fantastic read. Their voices were nothing short of perfection for this read and really did bring these characters to life. The story itself was also amazing and kept me thoroughly entertained and even had me listening at times when I shouldn't as I needed more and didn't want it to end all at the same time.

A story of healing, love and finding yourself

I’ve only recently found Ava Harrison and have very quickly fallen in love with her style of writing and storytelling. Ava’s books transfer to audiobooks perfectly, nothing is lost in translation. The plot just as compelling, the characters just as poignant.

Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt added an extra layer of emotion to Conceal that made it so enjoyable. There voices captured the feelings of the characters incredibly well.

Conceal is the story of a broken and scared girl and a boy so hidden behind his persona that those closest to him can’t see the type of person he is.

I was intrigued by Jaxson Price from the minute he was introduced in Entice (Grayson Price’s story) and knew there was a depth to hi that we weren’t seeing. Tagged as the black sheep of the Price family, Jaxson lives on the outside of his family, by choice and circumstance. The youngest Price sibling was something of a troublemaker is his youth, fighting for attention not realising in hindsight he was receiving the wrong attention. He gave off the irresponsible, never grow up vibe that’s translated in the way he carries himself in an adult. Jaxson Price was far smarter than anyone gave him credit for, so much more responsible, so much more caring and just so much more everything. He was swoony, protective, loving and so easy to fall in love with! Zachary Webber was the perfect embodiment of Jaxson Price.

Willow was a woman on the run from her present and past. She has secrets, and these are the basis for the plot in Conceal.
Willow was troubled, scared and in hiding trying to disguise her looks and personality. She meets Jax in a random meeting of happenstance and their friendship and relationship blossoms from there.

The development of the characters was very different. Jax didn’t need much development, it was the characters around him who needed to see him for who he truly was. Willow on the other hand developed incredibly slowly which was perfectly on pace with her secrets and how the story developed.

Conceal was a story of healing, finding love and finding yourself. I loved listening to Conceal. It wasn’t as angsty and suspenseful as I would’ve liked but still a very enjoyable read.

LOVE Jaxson and Willow

Before I start WOW! Just... WOW!

Looking for a new book boyfriend? Well look no further – Jaxson Price will tick ALL your boxes!! He’s everything a girl would want!

The girl he wants though is Willow. From their brief first meeting, she intrigued him. He wants to know more about her, but she’s not giving much away. Willow has a secret – one she doesn't want to share. If she does she puts not only herself, but others at risk. (I loved this aspect of the story).

Listening to the audiobook was a complete joy, and brought the characters to life for me (I've also read the book). Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt's narration is totally mesmerising, and the perfect choice for Jaxson and Willow.

Conceal is one of those audiobooks you'll want to listen to time and time again. It was pure and utter perfection! I’m in awe of Ava Harrison's writing – bravo!

Jaxson...Swoon.

...
If I've thought I wanted Grayson... Nevermind, give me Jaxson!!! I loved him, he's perfect, despite his "Playboy" don't have a care in the world, resides a perfect "humble" and caring man.
This book was a slow-burn romance but it has a really good paced, it doesn't get boring at all.
One of the things I like the most is the special friendship that develops between Jaxson and Willow, the way he makes her trust him and the small gestures he has towards her.

Honestly Jaxson was the perfect man, I truly loved him, and I am glad he got to mend his relationship with his siblings, specially Grayson.

As for the narration, what a perfect pair of narrators to bring this story to life that Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber, they truly did a perfect performance and I enjoyed every minute of their narration.

Jaxson and Willow will steal your heart

Conceal is the perfect name for this story. So much is concealed within the pages and the characters. Willow is broken because of her past. She is running from that past and finds and old friend to hide with. Willow's story brings the story suspense and so many emotions. Jaxson is just as broken, but because of broken relationships within his family. Willow and Jaxson heal as they grow closer together. I love this kind of romance. I think the bonds are so much stronger. We see that through Jaxson's over protectiveness of Willow. As we get to know the person Jaxson has concealed, he becomes a loveable hero. I was com[;etely drawn into their story and I could not stop listening.

Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt are a great narrating team. Andi brings life to Willow. I felt every emotion and struggle of Willow's through Andi's narration. Zachary has the perfect voice for Jaxson. Rugged and strong, Zachary creates Jaxson exactly as I imagined him. It felt as if Ava Harrison wrote these characters specifically for these narrators. I cannot get enough of these narrators.

I LOVED IT!!!

Scared for her life, Willow is on the run. She turns to Maggie, her childhood best friend. Maggie falls ill on the day of her company’s first solo gig. Eager to make it up to her friend for taking her in, Willow volunteers to take her place. It's at that event that she meets Jaxson Price. They are instantly attracted to each other, but Jaxson senses her fear as she keeps him at arm’s length. What exactly is it that she’s trying to hide?

This is the first book of Ava Harrison’s I’ve read (I’ve listened to two of her audiobooks) and I LOVED IT!!! Like the author’s other heroines, Willow is such a strong character. Jaxson, on the other hand, is caring, helpful, and protective. Their chemistry was off the charts and I just loved how they were able to help each other heal and grow.
The epilogue ties up the stories of the three Price siblings beautifully.

Narrators Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber did not disappoint. They really brought the story to life (I’ve read and reviewed the book too!) They were the perfect choice to play Willow and Jax.

Conceal is a slow burn, friends-to-lovers contemporary billionaire romance written in dual first-person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
