I love the story of Betrothed! I enjoy Penelope Sky's books, great writter! I have read or listened to most of them!

He loves me, he loves me not

Maddox reminds me of Black Jack from the Outlander series, a sick sadist. Hades wasted time resenting his soulmate Sophia. Alpha man Hades looks like an emasculated emo. All that whining didn’t make us pine for him like when he relentlessly pursued and wooed her. The voice for Sophia doesn’t match her vervé. I liked the MIL and brother as match makers. The main couple doing the dating thing was cute. The angst wore me out. The set up for Damien’s book was on time. Check out First. You’ll thank me later.

Hades & Sofia HEA

Wow! Such an emotional rollercoaster, but such a great story! These characters excited and frustrated me simultaneously & both went through hell to get their HEA & it’s so worth the read! Also, the narrators have grown on me. I think the male did much better with the Maddox voice than Hades, but overall, he owned the character.

WOW.. UNIQUE, ANGST-RIDDEN PERFECTION

Oh.. my.. God Penelope, you absolutely ripped my heart out and shattered my soul with this final book as Hades and Sofia’s stormy rollercoaster romance reached cataclysmic new depths.. heartbreaking depths.. twisted torturous depths at the hands of each other and the manipulative kingpin Maddox. And there were times when I really didn’t hold out much hope for a HEA for these two damaged soulmates.. but I should never have doubted your devious twisted mind because, despite divorce, betrayal, cavernous physical, emotional and actual miles between them and another life-changing trip to the mysterious Gypsy Fortune Teller, you skilfully managed to slowly steer these two lovers back into each other’s arms and mend their shattered hearts with forgiveness. Sofia was strong, she did what she had to to keep their son safe before and after his birth.. and then she did what she had to to get her man back and break a gypsy’s spell. Unique, well-written, well-paced, well-orchestrated and well-acted dual POV narration brought the feels, their heartbreaking twisted dilemmas, the bitter-sweet angst, the sizzling palpable intense passion and the cast of characters to life.

Worth a credit? Yes of course I love all of your books and this final part of Hades and Sofia’s love story had me lying to myself throughout the night as I mentally promised to stop after just one more chapter.. but they just kept me enthralled and I couldn’t stop until the end. But please.. please.. please.. I beg you Ms Skilled Storyteller - make the stories trilogies and release them weeks or even days apart instead of months because I listen to a lot of audiobooks in-between your books and, for me, the time-gap unfortunately dims the fire and passion, fades the backstory and dilutes the high-pressure emotional feels you are known for. So I’m going to wait until all parts of Damien’s trilogy is out on audio.. then binge listen all three.
