She's my sister's best friend.
She thinks I've never noticed her.
She couldn't be more wrong.
Now I just need to prove it to her...before she walks down the aisle.

Brooklyn Tanner and Andrew Brinks have a long history...one she wants nothing more than to forget. Considering he's her best friend's brother and single father to two amazing girls who mean the world to her, it's almost impossible.

When the man she's been dating proposes, she thinks it's exactly what she needs to finally close this chapter of her life. After all, over 16 years have passed since she gave Andrew Brinks her heart, only for him to destroy it. Why should that matter now?

But it matters to Drew.

When he learns of her engagement, he realizes he has a decision to make. Does he finally tell Brooklyn the truth of what happened all those years ago? Or does he watch her marry another man to protect her from enduring any more pain?

Find out today in this angsty, second-chance romance between two life-long friends!

Exhausting Angst

What can I say except the lack of communication. They say they are best friends yet so much is untold between them. It's games and more games. It went on and on and all 3 books could've been condensed into one book instead of a prequel and 2 books.

It got very tiring reading about these two. Brooklyn was especially tiring and having doubts about marrying Wes. That should've told her everything - doubts. Why would any woman marry a man having doubts. She just wanted a secure place to land. Well, my dear there is no safety net in love. You either jump in and you definitely don't jump in with doubts. I did feel for her loving a man that she felt never saw her as anything more than a BFF or even sister. Sad.

The story was good, and I had to flip through some pages because they kept repeating certain topics, but I wanted to find out what happens in the end. So, I kept listening and listening.

The book is worth the read but prepare yourself for the angst and continual misunderstandings and mishaps between Brooklyn and Drew. I loved Gigi and Molly Drews aunt and sister. The best of the book and entertaining were Lyss and Charlotte - Drews little girls. They were the best and I loved what a good, hands-on single dad he was, they were the love of his life. I did not like Brook's father and thought he was too overbearing and interfered too much. Cara and Skylar, Drew's exes were beyond disturbed.

READ the book but be prepared!
