Publisher's Summary

Living a lie, Matthew 'Mattie' Alexander is exhausted. It's not easy to keep up the pretense, the deceit, but it's safer. Coming out to a world that so easily hates takes a courage he's yet to find, so he pretends - pretends to be into women - pretends to love being a part of the university's football team. It keeps him safe, hidden. Until he meets Julian.

From the moment they first meet, Mattie knows life is about to change. He's yet to determine if it is for the better or worse. Living life through laughter, Julian is lonely. Without the jokes, the humor, he would be living on the edge of depression. Succumbing to his controlling father's demands, Julian finds no joy in the path laid out before him. Until he meets Mattie.

As soon as they cross paths, Mattie has the power to drive Julian's man parts crazy with lust. But can lust be enough to help Mattie out of the closet and guide Julian into a happier place? Limits will be pushed. Rules will be broken. But it's only together that they will have the strength to overpower fear, fear of themselves, and fear of others. Just how far are they willing to go in the aim of coming out?

Mattie & Julian’s love story

The author has written the back story for Matthew & Julian, who have been featured all along in the series. It is a romance with a HEA, but with MM, not the usual MF.
Evans & Casteri handle the narration well with an Aussie accent.

An absolutely beautiful MM romance

Characters that capture the readers heart. I have adored Julian from the first book in this series by the end Matthew is worthy of such an amazing male character. Both narrators did a terrific job and made the book come alive.

good book just know M/M sex

good book I just am not into M/M sex. majority wouldn't like this if you don't like that sort of thing. the story was good so I gave 4 stars because to take off for that wouldn't be fair.

The Cover Illustration Is Better Than The Story

Skip it. Although it doesn't mean to, unsophisticated writing comes really close to normalizing physical violence in the form of criminal assault and battery. There are good attributes of this story, but they are few and far between. It's jarring to hear explicit writing done in such a juvenile way. Yuck!

Good Short Stort

I can't say I'm a fan of the entire series, but this storey is adorable & believeable. The narrator does a great job binging the story tho life.

Coming out?

I'm not sure what to say about this book. Overall it was alright. It might have been better if I had some back story from the other books in the series (but I have NOT read them). You wont be totally lost just reading/listening to this one. But there were a few places I was confused, some characters are brought up that don't make a lot of sense. Especially the Epilogue, it was a lot of info that wasn't included in this book so I'm not sure why it was added.. Anyways....
The Audio is Great!!! I could seriously listen to this Narrator All day long. I love his voice. He could read the phone book and I would be happy to listen to him.. LOL.

Enjoyable

I'll be the first to admit that a lot of the things in this book didn't make sense, but you know what, that's what guilty pleasure is all about. Sometimes you don't need the seriousness, the credibility to enjoy a book. And I particularly don't want them when you have migraine-hangovers. Those days I want books where I don't need to think, straight(ish)-forward books, no muss no fuss.

So, I didn't read any of the previous books before starting on this one. And that really didn't matter, it worked great as a standalone - until the epilogue that is. Then all these new people, that hadn't even been mentioned once in the book, showed up. It just confused it all. It was too much and didn't fit with the rest of the book at all.

If you, like me, haven't read any of the previous books, just skip the epilogue, know that they got their HEA and save yourself the confusion. If you have read them, you might enjoy the reunion, you can happily go on reading that last chapter. ;)

Paul Casteri did a really good job narrating this book and I truly enjoyed listening to him. And I will happily watch for more of his narrations.
