Interesting

Sam and wes are amazing characters I enjoyed there story so much reading it was great but listening to was a pleasure. The narrator did a ok job I felt that the voice for Wes was not right but in all was well done. The storyline was exciting and interesting with lots of ups and downs but in the end love comes through.

Friends to Lovers Got Their Second Chances...

I was really excited to listen to this book because it's a combo of Peter Styles and JP Oliver.

I love friends to lovers trope and this story is just that, plus second chances. The story and the characters are relatable. There's some angst and drama, but I love how Wes and Sam overcame their challenges and took another chance in deserving love.

The narrator is new to me and it was a bit of a struggle to listen to him first few hours... but I got through it because the story was enjoyable.

Good story

I enjoyed the story, it warmed my heart I am a sucker for happy endings. The only bad thing I have is that it took me awhile to get use to the narrator the voice was good, but the way he would pronounce words and the hard way he would end/say certain words grated on my nerves.

This was ok

I struggled to finish this audiobook. I felt like things were repeated. Wes was in love with his best friend's brother Sam. Sam joins the military but before he leaves, he and Wes have a moment together. Things happen to Sam and he ends up coming home. This is where the story got blah for me. Sam treated Wes like crap. Or more like major miscommunication. But it didn't work for me. I felt like the kept saying/thinking the same thing over and over. There was some drama but nothing major. It ends in a HEA. I didn't like the narration. And maybe that was part of the problem.

winning the end game

What an emotional journey Sam and Wes lead us through to get to the other side, but love as their foundation paved their way. I empathized with both men and their struggles. I liked their tenacity perseverance and integrity. Tom and Sara were good friends and family ready to support and push as necessary!! Loads of angst
bottled up tension, and love. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions bringing it to life.

Friends to Lovers Second Chance Romance

The authors have written an emotional tale of a second chance at love. Wes has secretly loved his best friend's brother and now Sam seems to feel the same way. When Sam, a Navy Seal, is called to duty, he can't tell his family that it's a secret mission. After months have gone by with no word from Sam, Wes feels rejected but he can't seem to move on. What Wes and Sam's family don't know is that Sam is now a POW that is being severely tortured. When Sam is rescued, Wes and his journey back to love will be a difficult one but one that Wes is willing to take. The authors present and realistic journey that contains emotional and physical pain, a loving family, healing, patience, and a love, worth fighting for. It will tear at your emotions in so many ways.

The narrator brings out the emotions and personalities of these characters. The only problem that I had was that he drew out his ss's too long. I did speed up the narrative a notch and that did help. I recommend this Audible book.

good book

I liked this story. It was a long one for sure. So I had to split it up listening to it.
This was a second chance romance book that will tear your heart up.
Wes has secretly loved his best friend's brother for what feels like forever.
Sam is a Navy Seal and is called to duty. He can't tell anyone where he is going it's a secret mission.
months have passed and there has been no word from Sam,
What Wes and Sam's family don't know is that Sam was captured and is now a POW.
He was severely tortured during his capture.luckily they were able to rescue him, but he might not ever be the same again.
This book was so emotional and powerful. I enjoyed it. The narrator did a good job with it. He seemed a bit slow while reading it so it threw me off a bit at the beginning, but I settled in after a bit.

Best Friend's brother romance

This one wasn't entirely my cuppa tea. There were poignant moments. But the pacing didn't work for me and the relationship seemed to go a little too fast/developed off page a lot. The family dynamics were sweet and the epilogue children were cute. The narration was alright, but the fricatives were a little too pronounced for my taste. Overall it wasn't bad and someone who loves the tropes (best friend's brother, hurt/comfort, military man reunited with the guy waiting at home after serving overseas/second chance romance, mutual pining) might enjoy it more.

Wes and Sam

Wes is Toms best friend and has a crush on Tom's older brother a Navy Seal. Whilst home on leave Wes and Sam kiss and promise to wait for each other, then Sam doesn't make contact, he is caught and tortured on a mission and is sent home to recover. A brilliant story where it covers there getting to know you to complete family years down the track.
