Julie Garwood triumphed with her phenomenal For the Roses and her #1 New York Times bestselling trio of novels, One Pink Rose, One White Rose and One Red Rose. Now, she brings her irresistible and heartwarming wit to a delightful love story featuring the unforgettable frontier family, the Claybornes of Blue Belle, Montana.

Cole Clayborne had always walked a dark path and flirted with a life of crime. While his three brothers chose to settle into married life, Cole rebelliously refused to be tied down. Now, an elusive stranger draws him into a shadowy chase that will bring unexpected turns to his uncertain future - and may determine which side of the law the restless Cole favors. A tragic, heartbreaking loss drives U.S. Marshal Daniel Ryan on a quest for vengeance - and leads him to a beautiful young woman, the sole witness to a terrible crime. But the lawman finds that love is the greatest trial of all as he unwittingly draws her into the line of fire. The power and drama of their blossoming passion, entwined with the surprising destiny of the wayward Cole, make Come the Spring a superbly entertaining adventure inside the heart of "a family whose love and loyalty will truly inspire." (Romantic Times).

Thoroughly enjoyed this last book in the series. Had all the details I appreciated from the first one. Cole was one of my favorites in this family from the start. The plot was interesting and had some good twists. Would definitely recommend listening to the previous two in the series first. The narrator was pretty good. I know other reviewers didn't like him much, and I agree I didn't like his voice for Daniel. But overall it did not ruin the series for me.

Great end to this series

Excellent series. Good characterization, appropriate suspense, captivating mystery, descriptive adventure, and enticing romance. This book was a quality conclusion to the Claybournes. Highly recommend all three books....in order.

I throughly enjoyed this series the first time I listened to it and I enjoyed it even more this time.
Julie, you are an amazing author. You made the life altering experiences of each character come to life. It is sad that our world has so many heart wrenching truths in our past and our present. But you remind us that many people do climb above their tragedies and make life for themselves and the people around them full of love and kindness. Thank you
Mikael you are narrator extraordinaire at making Julie’s characters come to life. Your abilities to change from character to character, accent to accent, and male to female and back again astound me. Thank you
PS ❤️
Also, thank you Julie for your ability to write a story without every other word being a profanity. It seems that many authors are unable to write a decent story without entire paragraphs being punctuated with profanity. It’s as if the author has a word quota for the story and the profanity enables them to complete their quota. Profanity slips out on occasion in our normal lives but an entire sentence with a profanity as every other word is totally unnecessary to the telling of the story.
Thank you 😊 Julie

Great characters, some humor and a climatic ending. It was the perfect story for Cole -

action, a little mystery and romance. It is the second book following “For the Roses” where the main characters were introduced and Cole Clayborne’s character was initially developed.

Classic Julie Garwood

A sweet romance and mini mystery of who was the actual witness in a bank robbery/murder in the wild west. I like that this book really had two romances in it, one for both marshals. I read this way back when it came out and this was actually my favorite of the series, I enjoyed going back into this world to see what happened to all the orphans from the first book. Reading the other books are not required to enjoy this one, but it explains a bit of the family dynamic for the hero. Narrator does a decent job.

Final brother gets his girl.
