Yawn! Is it Over Yet?

There was very little depth to this story. The falling in love in two days was a bit hard to believe. There are no twists or turns to this book. It is plain old boring! Yes there are sex scenes that get steamy but after the first few you can just tune them out. The characters of Natalie and Luke are just dull. The narration is a bit to young and mousy for my taste. I was expecting more and must say I am disappointed. Sometimes it is good to listen to a book that is just a lighthearted romance but usually the characters are exciting or you just get sucked into the story. There is nothing like that in this book. I am trying to figure out how a series could possibly be made from this book. Save your credit and try something else.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

YES! I would of loved to hear a story a good story that these two had. It has potential, and it tried, but goodness, I knew every thing before they did it, I have read them in other books.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Make it a story between them.. not one from other books

What does Jennifer Mack bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does well. I like her readings

Ok, what I said was harsh, but come on.. from the very start, you know the scenes from the books they refer to. It won't be shuttle either.. I seen every book I have read on my own and Audible in this one book. Except for the end, and even then a story from a books comes to mind, it's not them. If you get this book prepared to go back in time.. All the way back to Twilight. No kidding.. Just could of been outstanding, but missed the mark, I listen to things and was like WHAT? that was in so and so.. So you choose, it's worth a credit, but would not buy this. Disappointed, and I thought the series was going to be about these two characters, NOPE, going in a different direction and I am not willing to risk what I went thru the first time.

Wow a bit much

I have read several books here & rarely give a review. I really like Kristen ' work. I have another series of hers & loved it. however I found myself saying, alright already, damn how much sex can a book have. I feel that there could have been more storyline if there was not as much sex. then (spoiler alert) when she finds out she is pregnant, she has the nerve to be shocked. well hell when you do it like bunnies that is kinda what happens.

yes most of the scenes are steamy but others were cheesy as well. that was when I said ok enough already. I think I could have one hell of a drinking game for the many times they had sex.

I am going to get the second book & if it has as much sex in it I will not be getting the others. I feel a good storyline is being suffered cause we are fucking all the time. otherwise good book & if you love sex scenes here you go. on to fight with me.

Easy, Enjoyable and Good Start to the Series

Would you try another book from Kristen Proby and/or Jennifer Mack?

Yes, I have actually listened to the entire series and other series by this author who I find to write good entertainment. I like Jennifer Mack well enough but her male voices tend to have a lisp that detracts from their manliness. This book gives lots of romance and sex while introducing characters you want to know more about. This is my third time listening to this series in the two years since I purchased it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Since this is a HEA romance the ending was predictable but sweet. It left me feeling warm inside.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked that I could distinguish the voices used between the two main female characters and some of the other characters had different voices. I didn't like the nasally sound of the macho male voices.

Could you see Come Away with Me being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I could see Come Away with Me being a Lifetime movie. I don't watch much TV or many movies so I wouldn't know who should play the parts.

Some parts rate a "4" while other sections are a "3". I didn't feel that the writing and narration of the intimate scenes was as passionate as other books. Still a pleasant read though.

Wonderfully sweet but hot hot hot

I love anything that Proby writes , but this is my favorite book of hers. The entire series is fantastic. Jennifer Mack is a wonderful narrator... she encompasses the personality of each character perfectly. Luke and Natalie’ story is told in such a way that you wish they were real , so you could meet them and become friends. Many characters are introduced during this book that you will meet again and again during the series. Every time a new book in this series is released listening to it is like a visit with old friends. Buy this book , you will not regret it!

So-So Story

A sappy love story that kinda drags on. I found myself rolling my eyes towards the end of the book. Yes, we get it, you love him and she loves you!

And are we not going to talk about how Luke’s voice is totally different in the epilogue?!?! WTH?!

Where does Come Away with Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've only purchased a few audio books so far but after Andi Arndt, Jennifer Mack does well.

I really fight this book. the description seems good.
and that's just my personal opinion though.

but it's too sweet and sweet. repeat sometimes.

He is a lot of jealousy. does not really give a reason for it. He has got an x, it did not end well but nothing about adultery.

she feels guilty all the time. She takes photos, it's her job. She has a male single customer.
and he flips
She seems so weak when it comes to him. and it irrationalizes me.

and she only gets orgasms when he says came for me. serious.

The Sulivans have met their match!

I'm a huge fan of Bella Andre's Sulivans & now the 'With Me In Seattle' series has me equally hooked & Kristin Proby is also on my list of automatic downloads.
This series is well written with hot alpha guys & sweet, beautiful heroines with a backbone. The great story lines are entertaining throughout & move along without any parts in the story that lag or end abruptly.
