Love it!

This book is amazing as always when Tarah Benner is the mind behind it. I can honestly say that I love everything she writes, and this is no exception. Can't wait to see what's next!

Awesome

I absolutely love this series and book 4 does not disappoint. If you have never read a book from Tarah Benner, this series is a great place to start and the Narrator is fantastic and continuous throughout the series. The plot is great and each books starts exactly where the prior left off. Can't wait for book 5 on audio to listen to the conclusion.

Let the fight continue!

I am continuing to love Benner’s writing style and character development. No one is the same from book one and you could question if completely for the better. I am listening to these books as quickly as possible.
I can’t wait to see how it ends!

A glimpse of the future!!!!

I love love this series! The authors notes are amazing and gives you a unsettling realistic glimpse of what the future may bring. This series is a action packed realistic view of what the future may bring!!! Great job author and narrator! You are truly gifted both of you! Keep bringing them!

Agonizing Defeat balanced by Resilience and Hope

Everything has fallen apart, the team is scattered and everyone is doing everything possible to hold it together and fight back in the face of oppressive and violent opposition and inner turmoil and loss. Our determined group persevere and push back and then when crushed and spent, they push back again if at times in somewhat ill-advised directions.

And we shall not mention Jonah and his misguided and twisted behaviour and values. Gives Mordechai a run for his money in true evil whilst believing he is morally and personally superior and should be 'protecting' people by torturing others Really difficult to listen to. Reminds me how many different personalities make up the world and hones down the ones I wish to avoid.

Cheers again to Jacqueline DeGraff and her superior narration.

Still enjoying the series

After the devastating ending to the last book, I was desperate to get my hands on Book 4 - it did not disappoint. Maggie is broken, her life not only ripped away from her by Mordecai, but broken at her core, almost like a robot herself: unfeeling, just going through the motions. Years have passed and none of her friends have been able to pull her out of it, and then she is forced right back into the limelight, if she has nothing to live for, then she has nothing to lose, right?

I think the narrator has improved/ grown on me, but sometimes I wish she wasn't as slow in the action scenes, and a little more emphatic in the shouting dialogues :)

continues to be a good series

while I feel Malakai seems to be becoming more evil for the sake of evil, we still got a great amount of character development and story for everyone. if you have listened until now, no reason to stop here.

Love this series and this author!!!

The MCs have been through it all under the evil overlord Mordecai! Maggie and her crew had to go into witsec protection and all keep in hiding for the past three years while Jonah continues to lose himself more and more and Tripp continues to be tortured on Eldoran! Cannot wait for this to end!
