Publisher's Summary

Bea Collins is desperate. Her fiancé, Dean, has disappeared, and Bea is sure that he didn’t just walk out on her. In comes the troubleshooter, Hannibal Jones, who is skeptical until he finds the missing man, who is dazed, confused, and accused of a coworker’s bloody murder. Suddenly, Hannibal has a new mission: to prove Dean’s innocence. All evidence points to Dean, but he can’t seem to remember what happened.

To find the truth, Hannibal travels through Dean’s past where he stumbles on evidence linking him to yet another murder. These deaths have destroyed the lives connected to them, and it soon becomes clear that Hannibal will have to solve all three cases in order to save Dean from the death penalty and to prevent further bloodshed.

Collateral Damage

Collateral Damage by Austin S Camacho is the third book in the series of Hannibal Jones. I enjoyed this listen and thought the author did a great job weaving the stories together. Hannibal is a tenacious character and has great determination to get to the bottom of things. I loved the twists and turns this book took. Neil Reeves is a new to me narrator. His voice is smooth. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author.

Thrill ride!

thriller, murder, murder-investigation, family-dynamics, friendship, law-enforcement, lawyers, suspense, action-adventure, crime-fiction, private-investigators***** His business card reads: Hannibal Jones, Troubleshooter. He is former NYPD homicide, former FBI-Treasury, licensed PI, and was a US army brat raised in the Germany of his mother after his father's death in battle. The first case comes in courtesy of a friend of one of his young associates and involves spousal abuse. This thread is important to the main case involving a man accused of murdering another in a manner and in surroundings almost exactly like those of the murder of his father ten years prior in which his mother spent ten years in prison. The investigation is extremely convoluted and involves Hannibal's whole crew plus his most favorite lawyer. Excellent read that I HAD to read in one sitting. The narrator was adequate but hardly enthralling. I won this audio in a giveaway! Yay me!

I completely enjoyed this book.It was interesting, intriguing, and well written. This is the second book by this author I've listened to and fond both of them very enjoyable. However this narrator in my opinion wasn't as good as the first one. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily. left this review

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Anyone who knows me knows that I love Sherlock homes. The twists and intrigue that keep you hooked just to find out what happens next. Austin S Camacho does an amazing job of twists and intrigue in his story. As you follow Hannibal Jones in solving a series of murders you are hooked! Each time you feel you have answer a new twist that adds more questions. Needless to say i thoroughly enjoyed this. I look forward to reading more Hannibal Jones Thrillers!

Wish this was the other narrator.

This was my second book in the Hannibal Jones series. I enjoyed both books more than expected but the one thing I can say about this one is that I wish the narrator from the other book I listed to worked on this one as well. To be specific, I didn't have any real problems with Neil Reeves but I really enjoyed Royal Jays reading of Damaged Goods much more. Again, the story was entertaining and the reading was adequate. I just preferred the other. Would love to check out more from the series! "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Another great audiobook

Collateral Damage. . Another great book from Austin. S Camacho in the Trouble shooter series. As always never just one troublesome case but two, intertwined and keeps you guessing. No graphic violence or bad language in this one. Suitable for all readers. And is as always a standalone read. I received a free copy of this audio book at my own request and voluntarily leave this honest review. .

Wished for better narration

This is the third book in the Hannibal Jones Mystery series, and not having read the prior books in this series, I felt a little lost with respect to some of the characters who were probably introduced in earlier books. I think the characters seemed somewhat flat and could have been developed more fully, but perhaps more details and background were provided in the previous books in this series. The story was fully engaging and nicely concluded in the end. Neil Reeves performed satisfactorily. I do think the story would have benefitted if it had been read by a more experienced narrator. I caught only 1 noticeable production error and maybe only 1 or 2 mispronunciations. Note: I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Terrific Character in Hannibal Jones!

The Troubleshooter is back for another entertaining story in this one! First Bea’s boyfriend is murdered. Then before Hannibal can blink, he is the prime suspect in a murder. Can Hannibal save him? Part of what makes Hannibal such a terrific character is his low key attitude. He’s on a different plain from many of the heroes of action/mystery suspense characters. Remaining calm, even in the presence of imminent danger, he tries not to use violent means. He prefers talking. Makes for a unique angle that is captivating. I can’t wait to read more of this creative series. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. I’m so glad I got it in the audio version since it was a book I wanted to keep reading (listening). You can find my full review at Mystery Suspense Reviews Try it. You’ll want more too.

Twists and turns throughout as the past catches up to the present. Well-developed and well-written in this Hannibal Jones mystery. Neil Reeves did a great job narrating. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
