Good story....horrible narrator.

I'll start with the story. The story line was good and I have loved Xyla Turners books in the past (Her "Mister" series) so I figured I'd enjoy this one also. I would've love it to be longer so that we could get to know them a little better but as a novella, it hit all the marks for me. Now, the narrator...I don't think she was a good fit. At times it was hard to tell who was speaking. She didn't do a good job with making the different female voices distinct and she just wasn't the right one to read this. It made it a little hard to get into the story. I almost DNF but pushed through. I think this would've been good if it was recorded as a duet. Over all I give this 4 stars.

This book is simply amazing and 100%everything. I absolutely loved every minute of this book. it will definitely be going into my favorites.

Wrong choice in the narrator

This is a wonderful story BUT the narrator is horrible. It should have been dual POV or a male narrator that can do a man and woman. The only reason I did not return this was because I’ve returned a lot lately. Xyla Turner is wonderful and though I have only read the Mister series, she thoroughly tells a good romance story.

great story.. the voice actress

Great story, I hate the voice actress.
would prefer male and female voice actors. and preferably an African American female voice actress....

Loved this

Love this author. Just wished it were a duet as I wasn't terribly impressed with the narrator because she didn't do the black woman justice. In fact all the female characters sounded whiny and irritating. The plot was good though and relatable.

This was AWESOME!!! I loved every bit of this story! And finally, a mature one at that!!! To be honest, I’ve had the pleasure of listening to Mr Vega & Mr West, and I absolutely loooved those too!! Xyla Turner has a new fan in me!! Can’t wait to see what else comes next.. hoping for more mature content like Cole, Mr Vega & Mr West..

I liked the story and it was predictable. The narrator was not a good fit for reading this book. I don't like how she read for the female character. It made the female character c9me off as a snob.
