This was a great story line with rich detail and funny moments. Can’t wait for the next book

Love the introduction in this interconnected storyline of the series. Intriguing storyline. Strong characters. Detailed world building. Great narration.

fun quick read

The concept of the book was great, however it seemed a bit rushed. In this series, it seems as each book will be it's own stand alone that intertwines with the other books of the series. I normally absolutely love Leia Stone's books, but the last 30% of the book went way to fast and didn't seem very realistic. The end is where it gets interesting as you see how the other books in the series will connect.

Overall, fun quick read. I read it in one sitting, but I felt like it could have been longer and less rushed. Loved the MMC, I thought the FMC was annoying at times, but she is still a baddie with all her powers and assassin skillset. I'll continue to read the rest of the series as I absolutely love all of Leia Stone's and Julie Hall's books.

Audible by Vanessa Moyen was exceptional as always!

With the authors and narrators of course we have new awesome series. I love the story line and can’t wait to read book 2!

Fun and interesting

Really enjoyed this story despite the foul language and the insta-love attraction between Xander and Dawn.

Adam Gold….this man has a VOICE….🔥

The female audio reader is a bit more sunny than I would like. I think they sped her up slowing down to .95 made her not sound so clipped and weird.

I’m only 1/2 way through and I already love this book…and I’m planning on checking out everything Adam Gold reads because…. Well give it a listen, you’ll see. 😉

Not at all how I expected it to go. The story was amazing and I loved every second of it! It was never dull!

The story line and the Narrators are wonderful

Absolutely an amazing book can’t wait for the second book to come out in Audible. I loved the Narrator’s besides listening to a wonderful writer’s story the narrator is what makes the story as well.

📖 Well written with well developed characters. This is an easy read. I don't mean that negatively. What I mean is, the writing is easy to follow. There isn't any confusion with world development.


🎧 Both audiobook narrators do an excellent job. They both have soothing voices and do well differentiating between characters.
