A small-town cozy mystery novella

The coffee shop on the corner of First and Main in Oak Grove, Kansas, seems to attract a series of mysterious events.

Morgan Butler, new owner of the Coffee Perk, hosts a weekly book club to attract new customers to her shop. One thing after another seems to want to drown her dreams.

Dean Matthews, true-crime best-selling author, starts coming everyday to use Morgan’s free Wi-fi when his goes down. What Morgan didn’t expect was for crime to arrive on her doorstep shortly after the author.

Needing a bulb replaced in her shop sign, she hires a local man to fix it only to find the man dead minutes later. Since the man wasn’t very well liked in town, the suspects are endless.

When danger gets a bit too close, Morgan and Dean set off to find a killer. Can they catch the culprit before they're ensnared?

Preposterous Assumptions and AI Reader

I tried to get beyond the AI ‘reader,’ but that soon became too much to overlook.
What was much worse was the idea that a police officer could take one look at a body that fell from a ladder and instantly assume that the store owner must be guilty of murder. Deleting this title immediately without finishing it.

Not a fan of virtual voice

The story was okay, cute. But the virtual voice narration is not enjoyable to listen to.

Nice story. The performance could've been so much better without virtual voice, however this one wasnt so bad to listen to compared to some of the other virtual voices

Don't like AI voices. Definitely can tell the difference, won't be downloading those anymore. I want a human reading the book.

A cute coffee shop mystery

This story is about a coffee shop with a mystery murder. This book is well written and will keep your attention throughout the story. Great read.
