Publisher's summary

It appears Roger may have a secret love interest. Both Aggie and Betty are curious to learn more about this mysterious person named Pat that has Roger doing things out of his comfort zone, like going to a park to see the fireworks and making dinner reservations for an expensive restaurant. Being that Roger is a notorious cheapskate, and a bit of a snob, Aggie and Betty are dying to get a look at the person responsible for his transformation.

As Aggie and Betty indulge in some snooping, they accidentally stumble over a dead body that helps to solve a mystery. Unfortunately, it’s not the mystery they’d set out to solve. Will they ever learn more about Roger’s significant other?

Fun Short Story!

Very short story, fast-paced and fun. I like the characters and the storyline. The narration was well done. Adam Schulmerich has a great voice, easy to understand. I would love to read more about these characters! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Fireworks

I love these short Aggie Underhill stories. As I listen, I am reminded of the madcap adventures of Lucy & Ethel from the old "I Love Lucy" shows. Ms. Hollstein does a great job with her descriptions of Aggie's interactions with her best friend, Betty, and Betty's cousin, Roger. This threesome always seem to be getting into trouble somehow!

If you are looking for a lighthearted way to spend a few minutes, you can't go wrong with this series of stories. The narrator, Adam Schulmerich, does a great job and adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment.

But, now I HAVE to know......who is Pat?

A nice pick me up

If you want a nice cozy mystery that you can finish during your lunch break, then this is a book for you. Funny and interesting it’s how short stories are best. The narrator was great as well

Fun quick murder mystery

This was a fun short story. This is my first book I have read in this series but that didn't stop me from loving this story. But it did make me curious and want to read the ones before to get the back story of the characters. This is a great book for a quick mystery fix. At first I thought it was just a mystery to find out who Roger was seeing for Aggie & Betty. But then there was a murder mystery surprise. I loved it. Every small detail mattered and I was surprised at the outcome. I def recommend for murder mystery fans.

Great Read

Coffee, Fireworks and Murder: An Aggie Underhill 4th of July Short Story was another great read by Michelle Ann Hollstein. Aggie and Betty are both curious about the stranger named Pat. Pat has Roger doing things that are completely out of his norm. He is going to a park to watch fireworks and going to expensive restaurants. They start to snoop but end up finding a dead body. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Michelle Ann Hollstein.

"GREAT Enjoyment of the Whodunit" 🔫🕵

I'm got great enjoyment from; "Coffee, Fireworks and Murder: An Aggie Underhill 4th of July Short Story" written by Michelle Ann Hollstein. The mystery short story had so much humor and corny antics, again it continued to hold my attention.

I don't know how they manage to have murders practically fall in their laps. I would probably say they're just unlucky like that, in a funny kind of way. These types of short stories are geared towards adults more then teens, they wouldn't get the same enjoyment.

The narrator Adam Schulmerich was entertaining to me. He's another new voice to me but he will be very memorable; in a good way. Adam was talented and knew his stuff.

This is definitely one I would recommend to others. It deserves every one of it's

Am I missing something?

Having read good reviews for this book I looked forward to listening to it. It starts well and characters are good. All is well until the fireworks in the park, a body is discovered..... next chapter Detective is visiting Aggie and Betty and it's all over, murderer arrested etc. What happened in between? Adam Schulmerich's narration was very good but can't say the same for the story.
I've noticed that the others in the series are much longer than the 38 minutes of this one so gonna listen to another as I do like the characters.
