Publisher's Summary

Life works in mysterious ways. Jameson Force Security has just received notice of a disavowed CIA agent in need of rescue in Central America. My blood runs cold when I learn that agent is none other than Greer Hathaway - my former fiancée.

Having gone our separate ways more than a decade ago, I still have bitter feelings toward Greer and the demise of our relationship. Those feelings don’t change the fact that I loved her more than anything, so I’m on the next flight out to embark on a rescue mission. Besides, Greer once saved my life, so now it’s time to return the favor and put her firmly in my past.

Face-to-face for the first time since ending our engagement, Greer and I are left with not only anger, unanswered questions and regrets, but also the undeniable chemistry we apparently still have. Will the promise of a new future together be enough, or will the same obstacles tear us apart again?

BRILLIANTLY PERFORMED!!

OMG, I was so fortunate to be able to listened to this amazing audiobook in advance to the release date, and let me tell you that as usual, Teddy Hamilton's performance is deliciously freaking hypnotic, and Erin Mallon is outstanding. Both together are just PERFECTION at bringing this fantastic story to life in a way that a times I was directing my vision to my TV, forgetting for a moment that I was listening and not watching such a fabulous story that was so vividly playing in my head. Wow, I end up laughing out loud at myself, because this happens every single time narrators like them don't read, but performed as if they were on stage, the stories we end up marking as our top favorites.

When I read this story at first, I knew that listening to it it'll be a must for me, and let me tell you, I wasn't wrong. I really loved and enjoyed both versions of it!

My gratitude and admiration goes to authors like Sawyer Bennett, that not only writes amazing stories for her fans, but in addition finds the best of the best to bring those stories to life in the audible version.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE JAMESON FORCE SECURITY SERIES!!

Very good!

Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are two of my favorite narrators and they didn’t disappoint here. I could feel their chemistry, which should seem strange with no visual. Each book in the Jameson Force Security series gets better and better. Sawyer Bennett’s imagination and story telling continues to draw me in as I find I can’t stop ordering the next as soon as I finish one.

I have really enjoyed this series. Especially the first 6 books in the series but this one....I don't know. There is something about it kept me going until the end.

I loved the narration for the most part. One thing that I had an issue was the Spanish pronunciations of both narrators. For example, Mejia is a very common last name and the "j" in ALL Spanish words sounds like a harsh "h" sound. Other Spanish words were badly pronounced with either the accent on the wrong syllable or wrong letter combination sounds.

That small snippet about Dozer at the end really has me intrigued. I can't wait for the next book release.

Good

Good story line and narration. I had trouble with the way the characters were still so immature and in the case of Ladd, petulantly immovable, a decade later. I also had higher hopes for a super tough CIA FMC from the book reviews (& ya know it was her whole life) so I wasn’t overly impressed there; Erin has that little lilt to her voice that may have lent to Greer being less badass via Audible vs the book (love her tho).
But still super enjoyable, I don’t regret the 5 hours spent at all, will listen to/read more in the series.

So much fire!!!

First, I want to say that I really enjoy how Sawyer Bennett connects all her books. We get a small snippet from her hockey series in this book and it just reaffirms the world that Bennett is creating. Disavowed starts out with some major action… I was on the edge of my seat listening to this. It was so good that I forgot I was cleaning and just stood there listening. Then we go into some heat and Lordie, Bennett knows what she’s doing there! I couldn’t listen to this one fast enough. It was the perfect amount of suspense and romance; these are my favorite kind of books. It’s like a compulsion to read them because the action is just so intense. Add in the second chance romance and I couldn’t get enough of Ladd and Greer.

Greer is my favorite type of female character. She’s ruthless and totally kick butt but she also has a heart and can be vulnerable. Ladd is ruthless. He storms the castle for his woman and I loved that… it had me right from the start. When these two cunning people come together something amazing happens and they transform into sweet and loving but still with the spice. The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon was the BEST! Hamilton seems to play these strong, alpha males flawlessly. He has just enough edge to him to make it seem sexy but the heart is still there. Mallon was amazing as Greer. I’m not used to Erin Mallon playing such a hard woman but she did it with perfection. Greer also has some soft spots and I think Mallon was able to handle her character’s personality amazingly.

Chaotic and Passionate

Ladd and Greer...oh my! Chaotic love at its finest. What happens when you have a passion that runs so deep that it physically hurts? The attraction so strong that you don't even need words? That's what these characters are. Greer is a strong woman, but her heart belongs to Ladd. She's willing to let him be angry with her and take her any time he wants her. When her life is in danger, Ladd goes the distance to save her. She can take care of herself, but she realizes that she needs Ladd. These two fight for their love in the midst of chaos and I didn't want this story to end. I love the co-parenting relationship between Ladd and his ex. Ladd's son is wise beyond his years and I believe that has a lot to do with his father's line of work. Once again, Sawyer Bennett delivers a story full of adventure, passion, and a plot that will keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat! The narrators are two of my faves, so this was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Sawyer Bennett has done it yet again!!!

I know I keep saying this, but…. I freaking love Sawyer Bennett’s Jameson Force Security series! The latest book in this series is Code Name: Disavowed. I just simply could not put it down. When I found out another book in this series was being released, I could not wait for it to hit my Kindle.
This is a second chance at love book, a love that was meant to be. The chemistry between Ladd and Greer…OFF THE CHARTS!! And the suspense…WOW!!! As I stated above, I could not put it down, I just kept turning the pages. I NEEDED to know what happened next!! The next thing I knew the sun was coming up. Yep, I did an all-nighter. Another sign of a great book, well at least in my opinion. I also have the Audible version, and I listened to it as well. Twice!!!
The Narrators Teddy Hamilton, Erin Mallon brought this story to life for me. And I will not mention that Mr. Hamilton’s voice…OH MY GOSH!! I have loved every book that I have listened to that he has performed on!! I could listen to him for HOURS, and HOURS!!! He has become one of my favorite male narrators. Hence, another reason I listened to it twice….
I just loved the characters Ladd and Greer so much. Also, it was great seeing characters from previous books.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say this. I am glad that Greer got her head out of her butt before it was almost too late! AGAIN!!
AAANND, Ms. Bennett put a hint into this book about a new series that she just may be writing… OK, I lied. She is starting a new series, and the first book comes out next month.
I was gifted with a copy of this book because of my love of reading romance, and for my honest opinions on the book. In my honest opinion… GO! NOW and hit that purchase button from your favorite retailer. Now! This instant!! You will not be disappointed!!!
Thank you for reading my review. Have a great day

Entertaining series!

Enjoyed the audio, which has a female and male narrator. Both narrators did a good job! A good listen! They fit the characters well, and gave quality performances.

I like the second chance at romance aspect; it’s been years since Greer and Ladd were together, a bit too long for my liking, but the chemistry is still there between them. I’m not huge on Ladd having an ex and a kid, but I liked that he goes to help Greer when she is in trouble; he still cares for her. I enjoy the whole specialized security angle; some good intrigue and excitement! Liked Greer’s kick booty attitude; she’s a little too combative at times, but I like that she stands up for herself. Good suspense, good passion, and fun action! Enjoying this series!

Suspense, action, heart!

Sawyer Bennett has to be one of the most read / listened to authors of mine. There is just this feel good, like coming home factor to them that makes me connect with every single book. This one was no different. In fact, I think it’s safe to say I love her Jameson Security series even more than all her brilliant hockey series.

So, CODE NAME: DISAVOWED. This is Greer and Ladd’s story and filled to the brim with suspense and action and sizzle. Add in the second chance trope and two of my very favorite narrators – Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke – and I didn’t realize how fast the minutes flew by while listening.

Loved this read/listen

This is a wonderful addition to this entertaining series by Sawyer Bennett. I could not stop listening/reading. Great listen and read. Ladd is brought in to rescue Greer when she is taken hostage and the CIA disavow her. Greer and Ladd have to learn to trust each other and count on each other when Greer and Ladd are being sought after. I love this series and seeing all the different people again. Sawyer Bennett never disappoints

good but....

Overall this book was good but there were a few things I didn’t like. I liked Lad and his relationship with his child and his ex. And naturally I liked the whole Jameson thing. What I didn’t like was Greer and her whole women can do anything men can attitude, it got her in trouble many times. No one ever treated her like that so I felt there was no need for the attitude, it irritated me a lot. She also battled the relationship at every turn then when she and lad finally got together it felt as if the story rushed forward too fast. I like more of a slow burn. Narration was great.

An Exciting & Thrilling Ride! Exceptional Listen🎧📚🎧

Sawyer Bennett’s “Jameson Force Security” series is one of my favorite series and worlds to visit and get lost in because I know once I start one of its books, I get so engrossed in the story that nothing around me matters. They are escapism at its best and speaking of escapism, there is some of that happening in this book and it is done in the most exciting of ways, the Jameson Force Security way. All the books in this series can be enjoyed on their own but I highly recommend them all and to enjoy them in order of publication, each book features a different member of the team and several characters reappear as secondary characters in each other’s books and knowing them and their story adds another layer of depth to the over-all picture and world building. No worries if you are starting the series with this book, all the need to know information is included and explained but you will love this book so much you will want to read and/or listen to all the other books. This book is Lad McDermott and Greer Hathaway’s story, Lad a former agent for the CIA works for Jameson Force Security. Kynan gets a rescue mission from the director of the CIA to rescue and an undercover agent who’s identity and mission was compromised and is being held prisoner in San Salvador, the CIA disavowed the agent and will not be part of the rescue mission. Lad has history with the agent, Greer Hathaway, and volunteers to do the mission. Greer and Lad not only worked together in the past but they were engaged to be married, but Greer got cold feet and broke it off. She broke Lad’s heart but he was determined with what he wanted in life and found a way to move on. They had not seen each other since their breakup, well he has not seen her but it is clear that the chemistry between them never sizzled out. When the mission is over they each go their own way, except it is not over, there is retaliation from the fall out in San Salvador and gang members are sent to take her out in her home in California. Not having the CIA to back her she turns to Kynan and JFS for protection. I love how everything played out in this book, it is an action packed, brilliantly plotted story that has plenty of drama, thrilling suspense, twists and turns, a touch of angst, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was meant to be. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Sawyer Bennett cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that was the right fit for their character’s persona, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Teddy Hamilton nailed it as Lad, Erin Mallon did the same for Greer, both were badass in their roles just as the characters were. Their voices and performances complemented each other’s nicely, they set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Such good romantic suspense!

I just know when I pick up a book in this series, I am in for a treat. Sawyer Bennett knows how to write romantic suspense with just enough danger and passion to keep me engaged and happy. This 8th book in the Jameson Force Security series is a fun, fast paced listen, and one you will want to add to your collection. Ladd McDermott is an ex-CIA agent who has recently moved to the Pittsburgh office of Jameson Security. Greer Hathaway, Ladd's ex-fiance is in danger, and when Ladd sees this come through the office, he insists on being the one to rescue her. But not only is he going to get her out, but with her being the one who got away, there may just be a second chance on their horizon. The question is will they be up for the challenge? Not only is there passion in the air, but the danger is still lurking back in the states putting not only Ladd and Greer in peril, but Ladd's family as well. Will they be able to stop it before it's too late? Fall in love with Ladd. What a hero! From his amazing skills at work, to his talks with his son, I fell hard and fast. He is attentive and loving, the best combination. Greer is a strong personality and I love her independent streak. She can take care of herself, and I love it Together it's a power couple and one that is only going to benefit this series. Plus we get peeks at our favorites from other books in the series making it a wonderful listen!

Add to that the narration team of Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, and Sawyer Bennett has knocked this one out of the park. Both narrators are so good, finding their rhythm and perfect voice for the characters, keeping the thrills high and the passion hot, I finished this on quickly. I loved it and can't wait for more!

This series just gets better and better

Ladd McDermott - what an honest to god hero. Well he’s certainly my hero, not a bad word to say about him. Perfect ex husband, perfect dad, and perfect candidate for a second chance romance with the love of his life. Enter disavowed CIA operative Greer Hathaway. Between them they messed up what could have been a perfect relationship/marriage 12 years earlier. Although if that had worked out we wouldn’t have had the adorable Ethan to entertain us throughout. He was truly delectable, each scene he was in was just wonderful. Anyway, back to the story, it’s Jameson Force Security, so there’s lots of action, plus lots of explosive drama as Ladd and Greer reunite, both in and out of the bedroom. Lots of suspense and a whole lot of romance. Narrated to absolute perfection by two of my favourites, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, who pretty much knocked the narration out of the ballpark. Highly enjoyable, highly addictive action romance.
