Publisher's Summary

I thought I had it all - the perfect life, with the perfect arrangement, with the perfect guy.

To the world, Kevin Peyton is the heartthrob Oscar nominee. To me, he's my best friend, with some sexy benefits.

But then I got a taste of his world. A world where being mobbed by fans, violated by intruders, and stripped of all privacy is the norm. I never realized how brutal being in the spotlight would be.

I didn’t fit into his world. I didn’t fit into his plans. I only wish I’d discovered that before falling in love with him and changing the game plan.

Sometimes changing the game plan changes more than the game. Sometimes it changes your everything.

Nothing Cliche About this one!

Are you sure this is a debut novel? This well written, entertaining friends with benefits to lovers story is so much fun! Claire and Kevin have been best friends forever, and friends with benefits for years. Kevin, a successful Hollywood actor and Claire running her family business each have their own careers, but when together the sparks fly. Now as feelings change, will their relationship survive? I absolutely loved this story. Kevin is a wonderful man, and even though in the public eye does his best to keep his private life private. Claire is fun, flirty and has all the emotions attached that I would too! They are magic together, and I love the fun banter. The family dynamic between Claire and her sister, Kim is so realistic and their secondary story is beautiful. Sloan has a winning combination of characters and I loved it!

Erin Mallon brings their story to life, enhancing it with her talent. She truly can find the personalities of the characters, hone in and make them real with her voices. I loved her performance, as always!

GOOD.. & A CLICHÉ ROMANCE IT’S NOT

Well Ms Sloan, for a debut novel you certainly exceeded my expectations with this very unusual love story about two successful childhood friends now living in different States who effortlessly move into an easy ‘friends-with-benefits’ relationship whenever they can. However, their worlds are so very different, Kevin’s a heartthrob Actor and Oscar nominee and Claire wants nothing to do with the limelight so keeping it casual is the only option for these two lovers. Until Claire realizes she doesn’t just love him.. she’s fallen IN love with him too - and that’s when this story takes a very different and unique route from the norm to get to the HEA.. but it wasn’t love but lifestyle that derailed this couple for quite a while because the love oozed from the chapters.

Now I couldn’t write a pamphlet, a brochure or even a short novella let alone a full bodied four star book.. so well done Rayleigh.. but I can be a picky prune sometimes when it comes to romance so my comments now are why, for me, this was missing a star. I personally would’ve liked more descriptions invoking more colorful mental images.. the sex scenes, although hot n heavy, IMO, lacked something making them a bit more functional than fiery.. and there could’ve been additional emotional scenes after the sister ‘event’ which would’ve expanded the ‘feel good’ family feeling further instead of stopping at the event. However, this well narrated love story DID definitely keep me invested into just how things were going to work out for Claire and Kevin and it kept me listening way into the night.

Worth a credit? Erin did a great job as always with narration and yes, I think this is creditworthy.
