A fun reimagining!

This was a really interesting take on Cleopatra and her relationships with Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony, with a great paranormal twist! I really liked the character of Michael, his origins was really cleverly written. The characters were well-developed through the book, though I felt like Julius could apologise more. Maybe in a sequel? Might be being a bit hopeful there. The romance was steamy, and very fast-paced. The narration was emotive and captivated me, even though there was the occasional slip of a Canadian accent. All in all I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves historical characters with a supernatural twist!
