Publisher's Summary

Tuesday Knowls is done. Once burned, twice shy. Twice burned? Game over. On the outside Tuesday has it all. She comes from money, she’s a beautiful runway model, her smile comes easy, and she’s quick to laugh. But looks can be deceiving. Inside, she’s lost and lonely. So when the smokin’ hot firefighter swoops in with his sweet talk and promises, she decides to be the one who uses, for once.

Jackson Clark is a man who knows what he wants. And he wants Tuesday. He sees past the beautiful façade she shows the world straight to the pain she hides. When Tuesday offers him a friends-with-benefits arrangement—minus the friendship—he has no choice but to accept her offer. He’s willing to do anything to get close to the elusive woman and show her he’s worth the risk.

When Tuesday starts getting presents from a secret admirer, she goes into a tailspin. She’s been down this ugly road before and she knows how it can destroy her life.

Can she really trust that Jackson is the good guy in this mess? And, if he is, will she realize in time that not only will he protect her heart, but he might just save her life?

Next Gen series

The story was okay…..I think this is my least favorite so far. Narrator for male (Troy Duran) is always great but I’m
starting to get annoyed at the whispering style of Devon Grace, she’s okay and tolerable but not the best compared to the other narrators Riley Edwards had (CJ Bloom, Maxine Mitchell and Erin Mallon) that can really give the heroine’s point of view very engaging and life while listening to the story.

not one of her better ones

I normally like Riley Edwards and she's an automatic buy for me, but this one I'm seriously considering returning. I had to skip almost all of the female narrator's chapters and finally just skipped to the end to see how it ended. the female narrator is absolutely awful. she whispers the whole time so you can barely hear her and when she does the male voice it gives it a horrible wistful feminine quality.
troy Duran is great as usual but the story is just ok. so I'd say to avoid this Riley's Edwards book even if you're a fan.
and if you are new to Riley listen to any of her other ones that are not narrated by Devon grace.

Love at first sight

This series is great! Tuesday is a beautiful woman who has been hurt, betrayed, and stalked. She has built a walk around herself to protect her heart. In comes firefighter Jackson who is determined to break down the walls around her heart and keep her safe.

My ears are bleeding.

Let's start with the narration. Troy Duran was great as always. it's the female that was vomit inducing. That whispering way she read was just awful. If I could give a negative for her I would. I would give Troy Duran all the stars. Now the story. I couldn't even finish this book and that goes against all of my OCD tendencies. Tuesday was just such a royal B!tch that I couldn't stand her. Playing hard to get is one thing. But this female goes above and beyond hard to get and jumps right into just put her out of her misery. She was more like one of the background people in the book that you want karma to bite right in the ass because bitter witch is what she is. I haven't really been a huge fan of the series and I hope it gets better because I loved this author up until this series.

Not for me. Uneven performance.

I would return this book if I could, but I've reached my "return limit." The story itself is pretty good though there is way too much steam for my taste. Troy Duran is excellent in his performance. Devon Grace's whispering performance makes it impossible for me. I'm elderly and have lost some hearing. It's impossible to navigate. I sure wish I could get my money back and buy something else!

Dizziness

I like most of the books in this series. However, I struggled reading Tuesday's book. To sum up Tuesday character consist of...yes no, go come, up down, I didn't enjoy reading this book.
