"No matter where you go or who you're with, you'll always be mine."

Ellie Stevens thought she had moved on from the domineering man who abducted her. Now living in Hawaii and following her dreams, no one is going to keep her down. But things aren't always as they seem.

Kayne Rivers reluctantly let Ellie go, but just because she's gone now doesn't mean she'll be gone forever. She is his, and he won't stop until he's reclaimed her as his own.

✫✫ 5 Stars ✫✫

Well this book was so different from book 1 and I loved that. Not that I didn't enjoy book 1, I just really enjoyed seeing the characters lives change directions and seeing them grow. Ellie was so much stronger in this book and got out of her own head enough to just be herself and be honest about what she wanted. Kayne was a huge change for me, he was very dominating in a almost wicked way in book 1 but in this book he was no longer wicked, just in love and his need was more devouring than dark. I loved that Jet & London were a big part of this book too. Besides all the feels this book had a TON of sex! Like A TON!!!! It was hot, exciting and adventurous which was a great change from what I've been reading lately. Oh and the celebration scene....wow!

Muffy & Sam are both incredible narrators and they seriously didn't disappoint in this book. I could listen to them both all day every day! This is about 90% Muffy & 10% Sam which was ok with me since she does a great male voice too!

Absolutely amazing series! My new favorite BDSM

I waited to review all the books until I listened to the entire series, so this is more of a review for all 3 books but I won't give anything away! What an INCREDIBLE series. I've honestly never listened to anything like it. Sure I've listened to the same theme of story, but M. Never is very gifted and she did phenomenal on this series. It's definitely unlike any of her other audiobooks. And I would definitely heed the warning ⚠️ it isn't for everybody. I knew as soon as I read the disclaimer that it was written just for me 😍 I love dark, I love hot, I love passionate, I love BDSM, I love master/slave, I love EVERYTHING about this series. It stayed hot 🔥🔥🔥 and interesting, and not only held my attention until the end, but it left me wanting more! I've been in a book slump and nothing has been able to get me out of it, until now. This seriously may be my favorite series of 2018 and it's definitely my new favorite BDSM. It will take a hell of a lot to bump it from my favorite of the year. I will be doing many re-listens!!! 🤤🔥🔥If you like dark listens then I beg you to give this a shot. It's worth all the credits!!!! The narration could not be any better. 10⭐️

Claimed my heart

This book completely claimed my heart. Ellie couldn’t have moved on forever, so when Kayne and Ellie are reunited... things get back to the way they should be.

Wow.

Wow.

Um... wow.

But that’s not all. Of course the threat that follows Kayne and their profession comes to get them and it’s ugly. Heart breakingly ugly.

M Never doesn’t disappoint with a HEA tho. One for the dark and dirty ages. 😈 This series has been so completely 5 star for me. When I get this wrapped up in the storyline and can’t turn it off both figuratively and mentally... it’s a 5 Star.

Sam and Muffy nail it. Can’t be an easy job with such unique tastes but they totally do. They take something that could easily have gone cheesy and made it sound how it should have been, a sexy and loving relationship between 2 consensual adults. Good job.

This second installment gives us more of the same in regards to great characters, sexy writing and intense... well... everything! I loved following Ellie and the aftermath of book 1. I can't wait to read more!

Narration was fantastic! Once again, a great performance. Absolutely no complaints on the audio or editing.

OMG!!!!!

After finishing Owned, I knew I needed to jump right into book 2 and I was not disappointed! I loved everything about this book! There are so many questions that I was left with after finishing the first book and MOST of them have been answered. Did you notice I said "most"? That is because I have so many follow up questions now! I now need to jump into book 3 ASAP and hope for more answers!!!

The narration was perfect just like the first book. I don't think I will ever get enough of listening to Sam Crowley and Muffy Newtown!

Such a good series

After listening to Owned, I was not sure that there would be a chance for Ellie and Kayne. But M. Never takes us on a journey of self discovery, love and trust and even includes some redemption. When Ellie is requested to meet Kayne I Tahiti after a year of separation. Because she has been unable to let go of her past, she goes and when she and Kayne are reunited, it is evident their chemistry is still there. But Kayne has so much to make up for and he will do anything to earn Ellie's trust and love. The book holds all the dark elements, and the growth and personalities of the characters really come through. Having Jett and London by both their sides, we see different facets of them all. And just when you think all may be well, Never threw a twist in the book you never see coming! I cannot wait to grab the final chapter in this book.

The narration is superb. The team of Muffy Newtown and Sam Crowley continues to bring all the emotional turmoil and vulnerability not to this story. The two make this story so vivid it impossible not to get sucked into this world and live the story. The best kind of storytelling there is.

Kayne Roberts &  Ellie Stevens

▪▪▪Review contains spoilers▪▪▪

Audible Escapes review. 3 POV (Jett, Kayne & Ellie). Book 2 in the 5 book Decadence After Dark series. Narration: Muffy Newtown's voice has a growly undertone that got on my nerves but Sam Crowley did a great job. Trigger warnings: BDSM, collaring/leashing, spanking, binder clips used as nipple & clit clamps, anal, orgasm denial, obedience, pet play, strawberry used as a toy,  4-some, blindfold, rape, note revealing a failed suicide attempt.

**uncertain of the spelling of character names**

Kayne Stevens (28; aka Kayne Roberts, Kayne Rivers, Mr Andrews, cranky pants, Super Stalker Extraordinaire, Lover Boy, Killer, old man, good boy, code name "Havok") starts out drunk and disorderly because Ellie left him after he kidnapped her, held her captive & collared her. He grew up in Detroit where he was abused, neglected & cast aside by his mom & then starved & beaten by his foster families. He met his mom when he was 7 after a foster family kept him in a closet for days, made him use a bowl as a toilet, & fed him scraps as if he was a dog. She promised to come back for him but she never did. He ran away from his last foster home when he was 17 because his foster mom tried to seduce him & kissed him. He was homeless until he joined the military when he was 18. Now he has issues trusting women, was 19 when he lost his virginity to a woman Jett introduced him to & he's only been in 7 total relationships, all dom/sub relationships, since then. He has "A certain kind of darkness is needed to see the stars" tattooed on his ribs & a compass tattooed over his heart with "Ellie" over the needle pointing North. He's currently a black ops agent, has been stalking Ellie for the year they've been apart, and living in Waikiki for 10 months watching her. He speaks French, he and Jett own a jet, he owns a black F type Jaguar & he tried to commit suicide when he was a homeless 17 year old. Elizabeth Ann Stevens (23; aka Ellie, sweet thing, gorgeous, killer, baby, beach bunny, mine, Energizer Bunny, Little Brat, kitten, Hurricane Elizabeth) moved to O'ahu for college after she was freed from Kayne. She grew up in NY, ran high school track, was almost raped by her high school prom date, found out at a dinner with Mark that she's allergic to sesame seeds when she had an allergic reaction & he used his epi pen on her, was Mark's former PA at Expo, dumped coffee on Kayne the 1st time they met and owns a Yellow Jeep Wrangler.

This book picks up 1 year after  Ellie was freed. After she was freed she was taken to a safehouse for 3 days while she was debriefed, threatened, and then comforted by Jett. She's now a college student living in Hawaii. One day after class Jett shows up to give her a plane ticket to Bora Bora to see Kayne. Once reunited she struggles with her feelings and the way Kayne now treats her. She discovers the collar he'd given her was engraved "Kayne's kitten" on one side & "Loved, collared and owned by him" on the other. With Jett's help she finally communicates with Kayne & they go back to their master/pet dynamic. He gifted Ellie love knot earrings, they went skydiving, he tells her about foster care & his mom. After she submits to him "cupcake" becomes a real safe word, he proposes to her knowing he can't live without her & she accepts. He then gifted her a choker after they chose her engagement ring and their wedding bands. Just as they're about to elope Kayne & Jett find out the servers were hacked and identities were compromised within Endeavor so they return to Hawaii where Jett & Kayne own a penthouse with a secret com room called the "toy box." Once there Ellie goes to see Michael who kidnaps, rapes and then shoots her. She then spends 3 days in a coma and 7 more days in the hospital recovering. While she's in the hospital Jett & London find out they're pregnant. Once discharged Kayne takes her to the house he chose before meeting her in Bora Bora.

Epilogue: 1 year later, Ellie & Kayne's wedding. Kayne gifts her a white ribbon collar with a diamond heart & earrings to match her engagement ring. She gifts him a boudoir photo album of pics of herself taken by London & then later gifted him ears, a tail, cuffs, a leash & Viagra. Kayne, Jett, London & Ellie create a foundation helping victims of human trafficking called "To Catch A Falling Star." It's revealed that Jett & London had a girl they named Layla.

I'm Claimed by these narrators!

*Warning* Just like book one, this is not for everyone.

Ellie and Kayne have grown so much and continue to do so in this second installment of their story. Ellie has become a much stronger person and can be more honest with herself and know what she truly wants. I liked her a lot more in this book than in the first.

Sam and Muffy did it again! I was transported right back to where we left off with the first book. This story was predominately Muffy and even though I love Sam, I really enjoyed it! I love the way they both take, what could be a very cheesy and over-the-top story and make it real and meaningful.

I’m off to listen to them in the next installment, the last of Kayne and Ellie’s story, right now!

A must for all Owned fans

Not quite as dark as book 1. A lot of kink with an added love story. Having said that, there is that one scene that that does push the extremes and go into uncomfortable, so if you don’t like a little bit of dark, then this is not the book for you. I loved catching up with Ellie and Kayne, I so love Kayne’s domineering side, and I’m loving how Ellie makes a stand against Kayne. Following their disastrous ending in book 1, I was praying for their HEA, but as I’ve learned to expect, nothing is ever as it seems, and we have a few little twists to mix up the mojo. Lots of sexy time, and a little bit of action that kept me entertained. I loved the audio version, which was of course narrated to perfection by Sam Cawley and Muffy Newtown.

The story just gets better and better

Round 2 of the Ellie and Kayne story and it did not disappoint. It picks up a year after the last story ended and Ellie is trying to get on with her life in collage. In steps Kayne to turn her world upside down not that Ellie takes much convincing. This one like the first has so much hot sex and boy it gets steamy. I loved that you got to see more of the relationship between Ellie and Jett those two are so into each other Kayne spoils all the fun. You also get to meet London from the first book and see the relationship between her and Ellie blossom. I loved how Ellie didn't take Kayne's rubbish she stood up to him so much more and I loved it. M.Never just writes so well, the flow of the story is perfect. You could sense something was about to happen and she styles it out so well keeping the reader/listener guessing and wondering what will happen next. Just perfect story telling. Oh and we meet Juice who sounds as sexy as sin think he gets his own book Lie with me which is my next purchase then it's Jett and London in Elicit which I am so excited about.

Sam Crowley is just AMAZING his voice is so smooth and draws you in to the story so well. Muffy Newtown is just perfection she can do no wrong her voices are spot on and she never lets them drop out.. Her male voice is scary good. These two together are the dream team and i could listen all day and not get bored. I have got the next book Ruined in my library all ready to go. A must listen if you love red hot sexy as sin books with a bit of BDSM.
