Publisher's summary

Lorcán Kennedy is a take-no-prisoner vampire whose grit is tested when slain vampires start showing up in his sector. His investigation reveals a blessed weapon was used in the slayings, which leads him to a rogue hunter with a grudge against vampires.

Christian Wolfe is a no-nonsense hunter who believes the only good vampire is a dead one, but his code of honor keeps his hatred in check. When his integrity is questioned, he will do anything to defend it, including work with his enemy.

Vampire and hunter unite to solve the case, although for very different reasons. Lorcán wants to prove he is worthy of his Regent title once and for all. Christian wants to uncover who is framing him for the vampire deaths. It sounds easy enough, but neither are prepared for the desire that arcs between them when their eyes meet for the first time. When longing glances give way to passionate kisses and scorching touches, these powerful beings will learn that their bond goes beyond mere attraction. It is fate.

Contains mature themes.

Really wonderful!

I liked book 2 more than book 1, probably because I liked the MCs better and the pacing was faster.

The chemistry between these two was way hotter and I absolutely loved the power struggles between them. When they finally give in to their lust… watch out!

There are a bunch of side characters in this that really stand out and almost take center stage, but I felt they mostly made the book that much better.

The action and adventure in both books take equal booking next to the romance so be prepared for a lot of fighting and magic using.

All in all I think if you’re a paranormal fan – this is a series you’ll want to read!

Audio
Joel Leslie wows us again with his accents! Is there no accent he can't perform? He does an amazing job with this - as usual and it was highly entertaining and enjoyable! Recommended!

Story or narrator

The only thing better than this book is Joel's talent. What a fantastic combination. Bravo!

Sexy story as ALL GET OUT!

Lorcan and Christian's story was so sexy. Both men are so interesting and incredibly sexy. The thrill and suspense of the story made it so entertaining. Stop that off with great narration and you have a winner. I totally recommend their story.

Best audio ever!

Holy mother of all the things! This audiobook is the HOTTEST ever! I mean this book was totally one of my favorite read last year, but now, the audiobook is my favorite ever!

The narrator - holy fuck! How he narrated Lorcán is out of this world! So perfect! I loved Lorcán's voice in the first book, and i was afraid that it would change, but OMG it is really perfection!

And the chemistry between Lorcán and Christian is so high and hot, oh my god i've never, ever blushed while reading books (especially from Nicholas, if you know what i mean...), but this time i was so red while listening to it! All the hot voices from the sex scenes, phew!!!!

Believe me and do not listen to this audio in public! Learn from my mistake, lol.

I will re-listen to it, it was so good! Really the best audio this year! The narrator is amazing, i need more from him!

And that scene when Lorcán killed everyone who went near Christian while he himself was weak too... ahh, no words for this book, it's so good! I can't wait for the next!

This series keeps getting better. I loved the relationship between Christian and Lorcan. The action in this book was well thought out and entertaining. Narration was of course amazing.

Fated love.

Aimee Nicole Walker and Nicholas Bella have collaborated once again to bring us back to the Genesis Circle to solve the mystery of who is killing young vampires. The passion is so very hot. Joel Leslie once again does a fantastic job of narrating. His voices takes us to a wonderful world. Must enjoy.⚘⚘⚘

Better than book 1

Lorcán is a vampire but I love his heart and protectiveness. Christian is afraid to open up and let people in. To love a vampire is the worst thing for him. I love the two of them together. I think the best of this audio version is Joel Leslie. He kept Lorcán’s accent the whole time. Every character had his and her own voice which helps keep the reader focused on the story.

Great addition to a very promising series!

I enjoyed this addition to the Genesis Circle series. It’s refreshing to get a mlm story that not only has steamy scenes, but an intriguing plot. Yes, it’s insta-love (fated mates trope), which isn’t my favorite, but I can overlook it for the sake of a fun, supernatural tale.

One thing I was slightly bummed about was the lack of D’Angelo and Angel, but we see them in the end, and through a couple of phone calls. Alas, this wasn’t their story, so I can’t be too disappointed in that. Christian and Lorcan deserve love too!

As always, Joel Leslie nails the audio with his ability to capture a wide range of emotions and create different accents/voices for each of the characters. An overall pleasure to listen to, and I look forward to the next book in the series!

WoW, we need more books like this

5 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames

Wow, such easy and comfortable listening. I appreciated the world building and extra effort in creating a quality paranormal world and characters. I was pleasantly surprised by the little injection of Christian mentioning reading Nicholas Bella books” Cobra: The gay vigilante”.

This series has it all; hunters, vampires, demons, ghosts, demigods, witches etc. It has a fresh twist with the usual paranormal characteristics. I developed a deep emotional connection with the characters. It is entertaining with a comfortable level of action, sex and plot. Yes, we have soulmates and instant love, but it has never bothered me either way. I love the magic of insta-love and how the authors makes it happen. It’s part of the fantasy isn’t it. We have two very hot and horny lovers, one a hunter and one a pyrokinetic vampire. The characters are likable and the plot is gripping which made me hope to hear more about Sahil and detective Vega.

Joel Leslie is one of my favourite narrators. His accents are sexy and very distinguishable. His cadence was perfect in this book, as he can sometimes be overdoing it, but this time he paced himself very well. He has a unique talent to start his audiobooks in such a manner, that it excites and amuses me. I always have a smile on my face starting out with one of his audiobooks, he is talented like that.
I definitely recommend this series.
Happy Listening

Good book and series

I really enjoyed the book. It was interesting and the narrator was very good. My only negative is that the book ended in a way that would make you think that another book would be written in the series, though after all of this time it is clear that there won't be a third book. There was actually a cliffhanger at the end of the book involving a character that was introduced early in the story along with a character that was introduced later.. Aside from that, it was still a very good book since the cliffhanger didn't involve the two MCs.

Amazing

This has to be the best audible I have listened to, the story is potent enough. And yet when Joel brought it to life Im blown away. I love this book. He knocked Lorcan out of the ballpark.

A gripping supernatural murder-mystery!

As a supernatural hunter, Christian Wolfe’s training and history has taught him to hate vampires so when he has to team up with vampire regent Lorcán Kennedy, it’s an uneasy alliance. As they fight feelings of attraction, they’ll have to make it work because someone is killing young vampires from different regions and the peace between vampires and hunters is being sorely tested.

This enemies-to-lovers romance was a huge improvement on the first book. The writing, dialogue, and plot were all really well-executed. There were lots more great creative ideas and the supernatural murder-mystery story itself was interesting and gripping. Joel Leslie lost the twang that annoyed me in the first book and gave everyone great accents on the audio (the series is currently free on the Audible Plus catalogue). Hoping there’ll be more in the series!

Does not disappoint.

I listened to the first book and it was funny, dark, romantic and warm, same with this book.
it was great to catch up with the other characters and fully find out the story that the first book only hinted at.
I hope there are more stories to come. More fated mates meeting.
