Ana Popesque arrives at Miss Ellwood's boarding house in Pine Glen to find she's boarding with a couple of very chatty housemates. But in that silence, she hears beautiful violin music coming from the boarder downstairs. Before long, her heart strings are so drawn by his melodious ballads, she's compelled to discover what lies behind such sweet, sorrowfully beautiful music.

Sweet Christmastime Romance

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This was a sweet Christmastime story. Another great story from Renee Riva. It was just what I needed this time of year. It was light and a feel good story. I loved the narrator too.

Learning to live and love alongside music...

Christmas at Pine Cottage by Renee Riva and narrated by Susan J. Iannucci is a delightful Christmastime listen (really any time of the year). I recommend if you’re looking for something upbeat, light, with a hint of holidays and love.
What’s it about? Ana’s family is unable to afford her a visit home during the holiday, so she stays at the boarding house where she meets a fellow musician and learns more than she ever thought possible. Learning to live and love with music being at the center.

The narrator, Susan J. Iannucci, did a wonderful job. Easy-to-listen-to and smooth.

Overall I highly recommend. This is not my typical listen and I absolutely enjoyed it, ended up listening straight through.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: there is a mild religious undertone but it’s not preachy (I’m not religious and it didn’t rub me the wrong way). I hesitate to say anything more due to spoilers so will say a couple deaths due to fire accident but not told in detail. No swearing.
