Publisher's Summary

West Virginia 1906.

Ana Popesque arrives at Miss Ellwood's boarding house in Pine Glen to find she's boarding with a couple of very chatty housemates. The constant laughter and gossip make it difficult to focus on her violin practice for her upcoming Christmas Symphony. It's not until the other girls leave for Christmas break that Ana is left with the peace quiet of Pine Cottage. But in that silence, she hears beautiful violin music coming from the boarder downstairs. Before long, her heart strings are so drawn by his melodious ballads, she's compelled to discover what lies behind such sweet, sorrowfully beautiful music.

A feel good Christmas story of love, acceptance, and joyful reunions.

Super Sweet Story

This was such a sweet story to listen to. Christmas at Pine Cottage made me feel in the Christmas spirit even though it is the middle of June.

Ana is residing at a boarding house over a Christmas holiday when she befriends another boarder who plays the violin. The relationship they form is super special. I loved the 1900 time period as well. Such a sweet Christmas novella to listen to whether it is Christmas time or any other time of year.

Susan J. Iannucci does a fantastic job telling the story.

Music, Acceptance, Loss and Love

Ana is staying at a boarding over Christmas waiting to playing violin in a Christmas concert...another boarder, a young man is staying there also who is an accomplished violinist but hides away his face.
There is a relationship that builds between Anna and the man..also with the woman they both rent rooms from.
A sweet romantic story...finding acceptance and love by keeping your heart and mind open.
Lovely narrator perfect for a story based in 1900.
Lovely interlude.

Great Quick Read

Christmas at Pine Cottage was another great read by Renee Riva. Ana has arrived at Miss Ellwood's boarding house but doesn't like her chatty housemates. She tries to focus on her violin practice for the Christmas Symphony but they make it hard to do. The girls leave for Christmas and in the quiet she hears beautiful violin music. I loved reading Ana's story. This was a great read and I can't wait to read more by Renee Riva.
