Publisher's summary

Come back to the tradition and warmth of Christmas in the Golden Age of Radio, with the great performers and shows of yesteryear.

Go shopping with Jack Benny. Go to the snow covered woods with Johnny Dollar. Go to Bethlehem with Family Theater. The voices of Vincent Price, George and Gracie, Bergen and McCarthy, Abbott and Costello, Red Skelton, Jimmy Durante, and more are lifted in story and song. They celebrate the yuletide with equal parts hope and hokum, silliness and sacrifice, merriment and mystery.

Share the holidays with all your old time radio favorites in 23 digitally restored and remastered episodes.

not really Christmas themed

i wouldn't listen to these to get in the Christmas spirit. there may be a slight mention that it is Christmas time in the few broadcasts i listened to, but thats it. the stories just didn't have enough to do with Christmas for my taste.

I did not finish listening because i just didn't enjoy them. if i had grown up on them maybe i would get more enjoyment out of them, but it just felt like i was jumping in to the middle of a conversation not knowing the people talking or what anyone was talking about. i don't know that these separate shows are good as stand alone episodes for anyone unfamiliar with them.

Memories

A wonderful "time machine" that takes you back to a simpler time. Great to hear voices from days long gone. Definitely worth the listen and the time.
