Story
As a boy, every Christmas Eve, my Scottish father, Big Don, introduced my brothers, sister and I to the spirit of Santa Claus by reading aloud "'Twas the Night Before Christmas". Inspired by this wonderous experience as a child, I have continued this family tradition by reading it to my own lovely children. I am forever grateful to Big Don for sharing his incredible gift for storytelling and hope that in some small way I may inspire your children to awaken their belief in Santa through my reading of this classic Christmas poem, written in 1822. Happy Christmas to you all!

Story
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Story
It’s rumoured that Dickens wanted to return to his classic novel Oliver Twist, to bring him back into a later book as an older character, but he never managed this before he died. However, if Oliver had returned, what would he have been like? Would the scars of his childhood affect the man he would become? And what of ‘Dodger’, sent to a land halfway around the world, his friend, mentor and master dead because of Oliver? Dodge & Twist is that story. The tale of two boys, 12 years later, returning into each other’s lives - for both good and bad.

"Marley was dead to begin with...." These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge? Or had he?

Publisher's Summary
Life isn’t always sweet, even for girls called Candy.
Two years ago, Candice’s life changed in a single night. The apartment she shared with her mother and special-needs son burned to the ground, forcing her to accept the help of a stranger.
Gary Ford, her knight in soot-coated bunker gear, helped to save their lives and then gave them a home so they could recover from the loss. Convincing her to marry him, they wed on this past Christmas Eve and hoped that their lives had finally hit the plateau we all like to think of as normal.
No such luck.
This Christmas, Gary brings home another stray - a woman who claims to have proof that the fire that destroyed Candy’s previous home, as well as others, had been set on purpose. Can Gary help Caroline solve the mysterious case of arson before Candy tosses them both out on the street, or will Christmas Carol turn out to be the best friend Candy never had?

It's been sometime since I read/listened to 'Christmas Eve'. I count that as to why the beginning was so confusing to me. After I got everyone straight and their roles in the story, I could sit back and enjoy. I liked all the characters, even Carolyn, though she isn't all sugar plums and daisies. She appears reformed. I liked how it all played out. The life of this family seemed real, they worked hard, took their responsibilities seriously and life happened
Christine Kelly did okay with the narration. A bit stilted at times but I'm not certain it wasn't the writing.
I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.

Great Read
Christmas Carol: Sweet Christmas, Book Three was a great read by Samantha Jacobey. Candy and Gary have now been together for two years and married for one. They were hoping that this Christmas would be the first one that is normal for them. Unfortunately that doesn't happen. A woman tells Gary that she has proof the fires that destroyed Candy's apartment, were set on purpose. Unfortunately she isn't safe and Gary brings her home to help Candy with the housework and taking care of their son. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Samantha Jacobey.
