Highly entertaining

Eloquently written story of grit and harsh reality, with a dark humorous undertone. An accurate reflection of life in a professional kitchen.

Weird, Dark, Different but Good

Hard to put in any pigeon hole - this book is beautifully written and narrated but can be quite dark at times.

Daniel Weyman's voice is an excellent match for the expansive, but not pretentious, use of vocabulary. Our hero? claims to be an English Literature graduate and it reminded me a bit of a darker younger version of a David Lodge book.
