Great Family Read

The performance by David Tennant is amazing! The story is fun, and different from the classic movie with Dick VanDyke. We thoroughly enjoyed this audio book.

Perfect for road trips with (or without!) young kids!

This story was wonderful and charming, and had my 8,6 and 5 year olds gripped! They kept asking us if we could please turn it back on every time we got back into the car, and my husband and I were happy to oblige. tenant's performance is just wonderful. We are huge fans of his thanks to dr who and broadchurch — but his performance here was a real treat! I appreciated too that the mother in this story was just as adventurous as the father and two kids. She's voice her concerns, but she was just as game as the rest of them to see what this car could do! I enjoyed the overall message: always choose adventure or else you'll find you've lead a very dull life! Exactly!! My husband and I are considering another roadtrip soon just so we can enjoy the second book in the same epic fashion.

OG Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

My 12 year old son & I enjoyed this book. This is nothing like the Disney movie. The book is 1000 times better which is usually always the case! The narrator is great. He did a good job on all the various characters. Definitely a good listen.

Best Bad Guy Names

The movie from the 60s was super weird. The book is so much better than the movie. I am really disappointed they changed the story so much from the book to movie. The storyline is so good and engaging! The bad guys had the best names and were just as "bad" as the villains in the movie. (excluding the child catcher,) David Tennant does amazing as the narrator. I would definitely read this again.
