Publisher's Summary

Life doesn't get more hilarious than when Chelsea Handler takes aim with her irreverent wit. Who else would send all-staff emails to smoke out the dumbest people on her show? Now, in this new collection of original essays, the number-one best-selling author of Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea delivers one laugh-out-loud moment after another as she sets her sights on the ridiculous side of childhood, adulthood, and daughterhood.

Family moments are fair game, whether it's writing a report on Reaganomics to earn a Cabbage Patch doll, or teaching her father social graces by ordering him to stay indoors. It's open season on her love life, from playing a prank on her boyfriend (using a ravioli, a fake autopsy, and the Santa Monica pier) to adopting a dog so she can snuggle with someone who doesn't talk. And everyone better duck for cover when her beach vacation turns into matchmaking gone wild. Outrageously funny and deliciously wicked, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is good good good good!

Being unpopular: "My parents couldn't have been more unreasonable when it came to fads or clothes that weren't purchased at a pharmacy."

Living with her boyfriend: "He's similar to a large toddler, the only difference being he doesn't cry when he wakes up."

Appreciating her brother: "He's a certified public accountant, and I have a real life."

Arm-wrestling a maid of honor: "It wasn't her strength that intimidated me. It was the starry way her eyes focused on me, like Mike Tyson getting ready to feed."

LOVED, HILARIOUS, Want to be her friend

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang?

Her father. He's so hilarious and stories about him get me every time.

Have you listened to any of Chelsea Handler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes - they are all amazing and this one is no different.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really - I like to spread it out over a week or so.

Raw, Funny, Keep Guessing...

Only a few months into discovering the wit, and radical honesty of Chelsea Handler, has an advantage of total emmersion into all things Chelsea. Her stories are unusually, humorous. So much so I found my self asking myself, is she for real??? My favorite parts were the slumber party discovery and her dad's rental property dream or nightmare, depending on who is talking about it. I love that she is who she is, loved or hated no in between.

Lmao

My wife suggested we listen to this during our drive on our honeymoon. "It's a GIRL book" I protested. We got the book anyway. Guess that's one of my many "husband lessons" to learn going forward. To my surprise, it was awesome. We laugh so hard. Guys!!! Get this book on any long drive. It will keep your wife busy!!!

Chelsea Chelsea thank you thank you

Always love listening to Chelsea narrate her own books. It's like a private concert. Such crazy stories that I listen to over and over again. Keep writing! Please.

Yeah nah, nah yeah

I think I was spoiled by listening to Chelsea's other books "Uganda be kidding me" and "Life will be the death of me" as this book tediously paled in comparison.

Short stories with screechy annoying voice renditions of characters made it rather jarring to listen to as it jolted you out of the passive story being told. Good for a bubblegum filler if you are in between books and happy to break it up into little shirt stories for shorter commutes. You won't be hanging to hear what happens next.

Dry humour at it's finest.

From the uncomfortable feeling I had when chapter 1 started with a car full of people, to violently laughing while at the traffic lights; this book has it all and more.
If you're easily offended or someone who prefers the polite side of life just don't bother.
If youre sarcastic, witty, fun and love dogs. Just read it now. You won't be sorry.
