Publisher's summary

The past and the future both exist in the in-between, but fate is never what you think....

In the midst of the rocking 1980s, with glamorous pop stars and unlimited possibilities, Regan Hope Landry knows her destiny has got to be better than working at the Piggly Wiggly like her mother, Rona. Beaten down by poverty and missed opportunities, Rona doesn’t rank high on Regan’s respect list. On the brink of turning 18 and setting the world on fire with her singing talent, Regan yearns to escape their podunk town of Bonne Fete, Louisiana, and head for the Crescent City. And now she can do it, thanks to her deadbeat dad breezing back into their lives and giving Regan a car.

Speeding off to New Orleans, Regan chases her dream of being in a real rock band. Her sassy tagalong sister, Rain, is too young to ride her coattails everywhere, but Regan can’t seem to shake her. When a crusty old psychic tells Regan what she wants to hear about her future, the spitfire goes all out, performing her original song, “Walk on Water”, at a hole-in-the-wall club in the French Quarter. After the resident band’s gorgeous guitar player singles her out, Regan is more determined than ever to grow up fast and leave her past in the dust. After all, she was born to belt out her songs on stage to thousands of adoring fans.

Confronted by an angel, seduced by a devil, Regan stakes her claim to become a superstar, but every decision she makes could mean losing as much as she wins - and every choice could mean risking her very soul.

Soul Crushingly Beautiful

WOW! I am a huge fan of Minette Lauren - This is so much different than anything I've read or listened to of hers. Chase the Moon is a soul crushingly beautiful book. So much love, heartache and growth. I enjoy the subtle enough hints of the 80s talk that it wasn't overwhelming but you knew it was the 80s.

So many turns in this book I honestly had no idea what would happen next. Chase the Moon broke my heart and stitched it all back together again. Excited to see what happens next in this series!

Magical, uplifting story!

Wow...Chase the Moon was not at all what I expected, and I absolutely loved it! Not exactly sure what genre to put this one in, but it filled with amazing twists and turns with a touch of paranormal. Samantha Brentmoor narrates this audio, and she is absolutely brilliant.

The setting of this story takes place in Louisiana and in the 1980s. This book is full of spiritual beings which makes the plot full of crazy twists and turns. Reagan and her sister Rain have a great life. Reagan loves music, and would love to make it big some day. Fate would have a different plan, and the adventure Reagan embarks on is anything but ordinary.

Samantha Brentmoor's performance was so good. She has an amazing male voice, and performs all the accents perfectly. She had me completely consumed in the story, not wanting it to end! She is one of my favorite female narrators.

Overall, I really enjoyed this audiobook, and look forward to more in this series from Minette Lauren.

Beautiful & Heartfelt Story

Chase the Moon was a beautiful, heartfelt story with a supernatural twist. The plot line was intriguing from the start. Regan is destined to be a star! She wants to make her musical dream come true, so she auditions at a local bar in the French Quarter. She and Chase are soulmates, they feel a connection beyond their comprehension. There are evil forces, both physical & spiritual, keeping them apart in every life cycle, but will this be the one life where they finally get to be together?

Minette Lauren is a captivating writer. This story is different from her small town rom coms, but still just as riveting. The supernatural elements add to the mystical & bewitching aura of New Orleans, where most of the story takes place. Regan’s journey is a heartfelt and emotional one that any reader will enjoy. The characters are charming, and witty and some are devious and sinister, making this an fascinating story to read. The narration was incredible! Samantha Brentmoor’s narration of this story will make you feel like you are in the story. She is a phenomenal storyteller, bringing life to all the different characters in this book. All her voices were unique and different and spot on for each of the characters. I truly enjoyed this story. I’m excited to see how Regan’s journey ends.
