Publisher's summary

You thought you knew the story of Cinderella...You were wrong.

The kingdom needs an heir and Princess Charmaine is quite aware that the job rests solely upon her shoulders. When her elder sister dies, Charmaine must take her place at the ball designed to find her a husband. With the wedding itself already planned, a hundred men stand ready to be chosen as her husband.

Now all she has to do is pick.

As a servant in the castle kitchens, Cynder knows his place beneath the royals.

With the impending war between the people of magic and those of his masters, there is little he can do to stop it. On one hand, he’s a staunch supporter of equal rights for his own kind, but on the other, he has already given enough of his life to these people. The only thing truly holding him to the castle is the attraction he feels for the daughter of his King and Queen.

When the two meet, sparks fly...and not just the magical kind.

Cinderella Adaptation Fairytale With A Twist!

Audiobook Review:
This audiobook series draws you in & keeps you captivated till the end. A highly intriguing reverse fairytale that is a fabulously adaptation of the original Cinderella. Brimming with magic & suspense a spellbinding intoxicated listen. The narrative between the magi & nonmagi is well established & creates a riveting plot with unexpected twists. The writing style is unparalleled & fits the genre perfectly. Romance, mystery and suspense all entwined in audio one.
Audio two begins with the new Queen. Abundance of magic, danger, and romance circling the Queen along with added suspense seeping through the pages. Audio three is the page turning finale which will take you on a immense rising and falling. Ending with a up-tempo adventure.

The narrator did well with the main character voice Charmaine, however, a lot of the supporting characters voices could use a lot of fine tuning. It was like they were screaming & it was awful to hear & took away some from the story. The background & genre were well captured in the MC'S voice. The pace & tone was very good. I recommend polishing up the supportive character's voices as it would make it a five * all around. Overall, a fun & entertaining listening read.

Nice twist on classic

Nice twist on classic Cinderella. Original story weaving in this modern tale. It made is a nice read without totally changing the story. It’s a PG version it a few curses but nothing more than you hear on public tv. Recommend to adult and teens in love with fairy tale. I gave 3 star for the female MC never seem to learn from mistakes and jumped to conclusions all the time Also the narrator on the audiobook was not great. She didn’t have great range in female changes or male tones at all.

Cute reverse Cinderella

I was sent to this book from start to finish within just a few days. It was a very good story and I would recommend it for any lover of fairy retellings. Mary Hildebrand is and awesome person to listen to and very clear even when spred up a little bit. the overall storyline was very fast in some places and then a bit slower than my lacking in others. But overall a great book.

CHARMED TO BE CINDERELLA

This boxed set is good, the narration is well done, and the stories flow well, my only objection was that one of the main canidates for marrying the. princess was gay.

I read all three in one day!

I don’t know why this book set doesn’t have higher ratings! I honestly loved it! All three books were fast paced, and a fun selection type series! I adored the main character, cinder, and of course all the other smaller characters! This truly was fantastic!

Stupid!

Charm was a royal! Supposedly? But no royal would ever have to go through all the training she did at such an advanced age! As the spare; she would have been trained just like her older sister! That aside I got threw the first book it was okay, but in the second book after she is now Queen a reporter speaks snidely to her and after the interview grabs her and threatens her and she lets her walk away? NO! A Queen would have him arrested and questioned about the terrorist organization he was in league with! I'm done! If you cant write a reasonable imitation of what the caricature is supposed to be, I cant read it. Try the other Boleyn Girl or for a good Cinderella retelling try ever after! I cant sit through this one!

Worst Performance Ever

I've listened to over 250 audio books and I'm struggling with this one. The storyline isn't bad but the audioperformance is completely ruining it. She can portray the main character and younger sister ok, but all the older women she makes them have this super annoying baby talk voice that makes them all sound like idiots. The reading of the men's dialogue isnt much better. I'm sorry to come off as overly harsh, but Audible seriously needs to pull in more actors for this book because this girl isn't cutting it.
