Publisher's Summary

A stand-alone, enemies-to-lovers office romance set within the Rydeville Elite world.

Demi

Dropping out of college senior year was never part of my plan. But Dad needs me, and I'd move mountains for the only parent I’ve ever known - even working for the company that fired him.

My boss, Charlie, is determined to make my life a living hell, availing of every opportunity to undermine my confidence, humiliate, and threaten me. Sleeping with him the night of his wedding might have something to do with his attitude.

Or, the fact I’m the spitting image of the woman he really wants.

If our financial situation wasn’t so dire, I’d tell Charlie to stick his job up his delectable butt. But I’m trapped, and things are only getting worse. Because the more layers I uncover, the more I realize he is nothing l expected and everything I crave.

Charlie

If there was a manual for all the ways a person could mess up his life, it’d have my name written on it.

I can’t undo the things I’ve done, no matter how badly I want to, and every day is a constant reminder of my epic failure. Especially her.

It’s as if Demi has been put on this earth to punish me. To inflict more torture and pain. Because every second I’m around her, she makes me feel things I don’t want to feel. So, I lash out. Doing my best to push her away.

Until I realize she’s everything I never knew I needed, and the fight becomes a new battle - one to win her heart.

Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to listeners ages 18 and over. This is a slightly extended version of the version that appeared in the Bully Me anthology, containing one extra chapter and two epilogues and ending with a HEA and no cliff-hanger.

Great Addition to the Series!

This is the fourth book in the Rydeville Elite Series. I recommend to listen to this Series in order. Charlie and Demi’s enemies to lovers story is great. Charlie is a complex character, dominant, and secretive, and intriguing. Demi is sweet, strong, supportive, and caring. They are opposites attract, and they share a sizzling chemistry. The supporting characters are interesting. The world building is intriguing. I like the emotional and beautiful ending. Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions

A Great Eneimes to Lovers/Office Romance

Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 4 of Rydeville Elite

5/5

So, I've listened to this series out of order but I still enjoy it. Charlie doesn't really get much into the world of the Elite but the tidbits it does throw in makes me to go back and listen/read from the beginning. The chemistry between Charlie and Demi is off the charts hot. The tension and build up after their initial encounter is funny and sexy. I like this world that Siobhan Davis has built, It's funny, suspenseful and full of good friends. I'm glad that I've discovered this intriguing series.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession and Pink Flamingo Productions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt

I loved every minute of this awesome enemies to lovers romance. The story is well written and grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it for the entire book. This book is Demi and Charlie’s story, it is set in the “Rydeville Elite” world but it only gives a tiny glimpse of what is going on in that world, a world run by twisted power players. Charlie is the son of one of the top players, growing up he was molded to fill his fathers shoes so he not only knows how screwed up that world is he was groomed to be one of it’s future leaders. Charlie takes over running the family business after his father passes away. Demi’s father used to work at that company until he fell ill, Demi needing a job to help take care of her father takes a job at the same company and become Charles assistant, first the father and then the son. Their first encounter is smoking, a mistake though, Demi has not know the son was stepping in to his fathers job. Charles was not a fan of Demi working there, he treated her like crap but kept her there to make sure she did not talk about what happened the night they met. The chemistry between these two is explosive but so is the angst. Charles can not longer deny his feelings and he starts rethink his life but he thinks bringing her into his life will put her in danger. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Also loved how much Charlie grew as a person. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see some of the other characters again, love the connection Demi had with Abby.

🎧📚🎧 And for the narration, Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They do an awesome job portraying the character, grasping each persona and playing the role with perfection, sounding just as I picture them to sound. You could hear the heart and passion they put into their work as they capture all the characters emotions and project them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

The ending....

I really need/want to go back to the beginning to get the full story/storyline of the series. This is an excellent standalone. Not quite as dark as JACKSON, but still had the overtones. When an author makes one cry, you know it's good writing. That happened within the last hour. Before that, it was a book that I didn't want to pause. Demi is a favorite character. She was so sweet, loyal, and strong. Her relationship with her father was so special. He made my heart melt. Charlie wasn't my favorite at the beginning, but certainly redeemed himself. Loved the epilougues!

Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are excellent narrators. Both are favorites of mine. They put such emotion into their performances. It rolls like a movie in my head. I didn't want the book to end.

One of my fave tropes

Enemies to lovers is one of my preferred tropes, and the author made the story seem more unique. The characters were fun to get to know. I just couldn’t stop listening until the end. The narrators did a fantastic job!!

Two thumbs up

Very interesting. I’ve read the first three rydeville books so I had background knowledge but the author did a great job of including enough info that it was not necessary. I love how everything and everyone tied together. Really enjoyed the epilogues but note #spoiler alert if you listen to epilogue 2.

Good book

*slight spoilers*

So it took me a while to listen to this book, as I was very upset with Charlie after the first 3 books. But I finally got over it lol. I’m not familiar with either of these narrators, the female was ok but the male, I didn’t care for him that much he sounded too old for a guy in his early twenties.
Anyway... the story.... we being with Charlie’s wedding night when he left Abby and went to hi work where he ends up sleeping with Demi and confesses afterwards that he was married. This begins their hate relationship. I feel like Demi should have not given in so easily to Charlie, like she tried to be strong and hate him and as soon as he showed interest she forgot to be upset. I mean since his marriage wasn’t real she couldn’t be mad about that but his treatment of her was rude. The whole twist with her and Abby was so random it kind of had me scratching my head. I wish the book would have been longer. There was a lot of stuff packed into 6 hours and the ending was so rushed. It went from them breaking up to her father dying to them getting engaged in like 30 minutes. It was a good book I just wished it had been longer with more details.

enjoyable

Charlie is Demi's boss. He's arrogant, stubborn, domineering and complicated. Demi would quit if she could financially. His attitude runs hot and cold towards her. She has awakened emotions in him that he has never felt. This isnt as dark or intense as the first two books, but it more into the psyche of Charlie and Demi's emotions, differences, and lust for each other.
Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are exceptional narrators.. They made it an enjoyable story to listen

Enemies-To-Lovers Office Romance

Charlie by Siobhan Davis is an enemies-to-lovers office romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher. This is the forth book in the Rydeville Elite series and can be read as a stand-alone.

This book does come with a caution "Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to listeners ages 18 and over. This is a slightly extended version of the version that appeared in the Bully Me anthology, containing one extra chapter and two epilogues and ending with a HEA and no cliff-hanger."

This is the second series of Siobhan's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I have only read book four and five of this series and can't wait to go back and read the rest of the series. I liked the relationship that bloomed between Demi and Charlie. I am happy we got two epilogues because I felt like the story ended quickly. So I was happy to see a jump ten years down the road.

Sarah and Michael did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like enemies-to-lovers romance, office romances, or contemporary romance.

Good guy or bad?

Rydeville Elite brings out the best and worst in it's people. This story features Charlie who recently took over his family's company after the death of his father. His new assistant is a woman he recently hooked up with at a wedding. Not happy with this situation, he will do just about anything to make her life miserable. Demi isn't thrilled with her position either, but she is desperately in need of a job to help with her father's medical bills, and will not bend to his will. But what these to find is that there is a fine line between love and hate. Siobhan Davis continues to thrill me with her books. Each one is full of wonderful characters. I have say though, there were definitely times in this story that I was fed up with Charlie. The sign of a good story, frustration, excitement, relevant problems and passion all bring out my emotions and make me listen straight through finding out all the secrets and experiencing all the feelings. This is an amazing addition to the series.

Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are the narration team for this amazing story. Puckett comes through as Demi. She is a strong woman with a lot happening in her life, and Puckett harnesses all the emotions bringing them to the front and bringing them to us. Gallagher as Charlie is the mean boss, and he is spot on. We do get to see his evolution and Gallagher is fantastic as he changes over time. Give this a listen, you will love it!

Charlie and Demi!

Charlie was the character that you grew to despise when we met him in earlier books in the series but in this book we see another side of him and instead of rooting against him I found myself rooting for him. He is a man who is tortured by his past and the one takeaway he has is to never show weakness and never allow anyone close so how did he allow Demi to break all his rules?

Demi is his assistant and she is conflicted by her attraction to him and the loathing she feels not only for him but his father as well. When it comes to his bad behavior she will take whatever he wants to dish out for the sake of her family but she is not his punching bag and has a way of challenging him unlike anyone else.

This story has all the aspects we appreciate about this series including twists, drama, hot chemistry and captivating characters that draw you in. The performance of the narrators draw you in and have you invested in the story. 🎧AudioBook Obsession

Love Charlie & Demi!

I love Demi & Charlie!

Siobhan Davis killed it with this one!

I really loved Demi as a h. She’s strong considering everything she dealing with. Charlie certainly doesn’t help in the beginning. But when he finally stops being a jerk, he really steps up in the best way.

I think Demi & Charlie are my favorite couple from Siobhan!

Sarah Puckett & Michael Gallagher both did fantastic jobs narrating!
