The beautiful use of words to make the story come alive in my mind! I will read this book again.

Wonderful Colonial American Adventure

Really enjoyed this story of a young lady’s colonial Massachusetts adventures. This was a book club selection that I was delighted to discover. I would highly recommend- especially for teen girls, as a summer read for high school English classes, or anyone who enjoys the likes of Ann of Green Gables or the tv series 1884.

The story was engaging all the way through. my heart went out to Charis from the Beginning and I routed for a happy ending for her.
