Publisher's Summary

You can’t run, and you can’t hide

After five years in Los Angeles, Bron has come to terms with living as a mundane. Following a horrific ritual accident that cost the life of her mentor, she wants nothing to do with magic ever again.

That’s becoming a lot harder now that her new best friend Nick is the grandson of LA’s biggest magical crime lord.

And harder still when her mentor’s daughter shows up and drops a bombshell on her: The ritual accident might not have been her fault at all.

Worst of all, somebody’s stirring up the magical crime families from behind the scenes, trying to set them against each other. If that happens, Los Angeles could become a bloodbath.

As Bron navigates an increasingly dangerous landscape of demon assassins, cannibal zombies, and shocking betrayal, she’s going to need all her skills - and Nick’s - to stay alive long enough to discover the truth.

Chariots of Wrath is the second book in an exciting new urban fantasy series set in the world of the Amazon best-selling Alastair Stone Chronicles. You don't need to be familiar with the Stone Chronicles to enjoy Happenstance and Bron.

If you like sharp, fast-paced urban fantasy that proves men and women can be buddies without becoming lovers, check it out today.

Narrator

R L King is one of my favorite authors, so I was excited to see a new series. While the story of “Chariots of Wrath” was ...ok, the narration made it almost impossible to listen to. It’s not that she has a bad voice, but every word has a sarcastic drawl at the end. It is so pronounced that at times I kept finding myself listening to enunciation and not concentrating on the story. I won’t be listening to any more books with Kelsey Navarro doing the job.
