Publisher's summary

Jake

I know that I’m too shy to find a mate. Too timid. Too insecure. The only people I feel really confident around are my packmates - and Adam. Seeing my best friend again after ten years feels like heaven, but matching with him on Mate.com? Has the potential to break my world apart.

Adam

After ten years as a Navy SEAL, I’m ready for civilian life. And there’s nothing I’m ready for more than catching up with Jake again. But my childhood best friend has grown up into one hell of an omega, and that? Is something they don’t prepare you for in boot camp.

Chance of A Lifetime is a standalone mpreg shifter audiobook featuring one heartfelt reunion, a delightfully jealous alpha, and of course, a HEA sure to make your heart swoon. This audiobook and every other audiobook in the Hunter's Haven Series can be listened to in any order

Love waits for no one!!!

It took 10 years....But these two men found their happy ever after. Adam, just up and left joined the Seals and was gone for 20 years. Jake is a shy quiet man, reserved and loving man waiting and hoping that maybe his secret crush will come home and love him as much as he loves him. Guess what Adam's crush is just as big and just as serious. What a beautifully written book. The narration added a lot to the over all enjoyment to the listening experience for this listener. As always, I am never disappointed in any book that I get from Mr. Kingsley. He has become an auto buy for this reader/listener. An avid reader/listener in Rock Tavern, NY.

Love this series

I have loved this series since I picked up book one. Now that I have listened to them all I have fallen in love all over again. The writing is excellent and the narrator makes the characters come to life. I highly reccomend this book as well as the series

Enjoyed story

I really liked visiting Hunters Haven again. I wanted to shake Jake and Adam and make them communicate, but it made their HEA more satisfying. As always I wished the story had been longer.

I enjoyed the narrators performance and each characters voice.

A great audiobook

Like with all other books in this series, I really enjoyed this audiobook. I especially liked the omega since he managed to confront his alpha and make him see sense right away.
The narrator too did a great job. It was easy to recognize which character was speaking, gave them all appropriate voices and made this book come to life.

enjoyed it

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: not with the book - but I wanted to sit the characters down and tell them to have a conversation (lol!)
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes

Chance of a Lifetime is a good addition to the Hunter's Haven series and it was nice to have cameo's from the guys from the other books. I would have liked a little more backstory on Jake and some of Adam's time in the military, but overall for under 4 hours, it has good pace with interesting characters and a good story. I liked that Jake, although a shy and insecure omega, found the strength to know what he wanted and go after it.

J. Bordeaux has a good voice for the type of characters in this book and did a good job on the narration adding to the audio experience.

Going Home Can Be Hard

When you leave a friend for an extended petiod of time, you know in your rational brain that they have changed. But your mind keeps a snapshot of how they looked then, and it's a bit of a shock to see them in the present. And, oh, how Jake had changed. He's all grown up.

Adam returned to Hunter's Haven after 10 years of military service. His heart screamed to return for Jake, but he tried to pretend that he was just coming home.

Jake was tired of being the only unmated wolf in his circle of friends. Everyone else had found their mate. Why was it so hard to find someone to love? And then there was Adam.

It was fun to see Adam and Jake dance around each other, curious to get to know each other as people different from their past.

Narrator J. Bordeaux has a pleasant voice, and an easy tempo to follow.

Another great one!!

This was an enjoyable audio even if sometimes I got frustrated cuz Jake and Adam just needed to communicate!! But I think that made it an even more satisfying HEA!
I love this narrator but wish there was a little bit more of a difference between characters but overall I was pleased!
I would listen to again and recommend!!
