Publisher's Summary

Fighting for love, honor, and freedom on the galaxy's lawless outer rim.....

Space marine Blaine Strong enjoyed being a composed, controlled member of space station security...until he was abducted by alien slavers. Forced into underground fight rings and pumped full of drugs, he's now seething with anger and out for revenge.

Rescued by gladiators and fellow humans on the desert world of Carthago, Blaine is fighting to be the man he once was. But when the House of Galen is attacked, he must focus on joining the gladiators to fight back. That means teaming up with a tough, competitive female gladiator who not only challenges him at every turn, awakens a fierce desire he's never felt before, but a woman who can sense the churning emotions inside him.

Gladiator Saff Essikani is the best net fighter in the Kor Magna Arena. Raised from young to fight, she bows to no man and uses her empathic abilities to win at whatever cost. With her House targeted and people under their care threatened, she'll stop at nothing to find those responsible. But then she finds herself face to face with a big, tortured man from Earth who affects her like no man before. As Saff and Blaine head into the desert to uncover a conspiracy, their incendiary desire flares hotter than the desert suns. But as Blaine's angry emotions rage out of control, Saff knows that unless he learns to embrace the man he is now, he has no chance of survival.

What an amazing series

I applaud you Anna Hackett. You have created a world like no other. Your words are an amazing visual art. I normally like reading a book, but I have to say the audiobook with Vivienne as narrator is so much better. Love this book with the H/ H as the main characters, it had action, drama, romance-just the right amount of steam-and all the good feels. Can't get enough of this series. Two more audio books to go.

The entire series

I absolutely love the entire Galactic Gladiators series. I have listened to over a hundred books and several book series and I will say most are pretty good but this series is my favorite by far!

Blain and Saff!

I love that there is an earth man in this series. Go Anna! Blain and the others are still in search of all the abducted earthlings. With the House of Galen against anyone aligned with the Thraxians, they push through all the enemies throw at them to reclaim what was taken. Such a good development with Saff's backstory and the little wins in the big war. Couldn't ask for a better listen... unless it's the next book in the series!

Storyline is getting repetitive

Hoped for more variation in this book but disappointed that the characters and use of language is becoming boring and repetitive in book 5..

Excellent

Champion is the fifthe book in the Galactic Gladiators series and focuses on Space marine Blaine Strong and Gladiator Saff Essikani. Blaine was abducted from the space station along with other humans and ends up on desert world of Carthago fighting to the death in the underground fighting rings and he is really good at it. He is rescued by the gladiators of the House of Galen, inlcuding Saff who immediately draws his attention. He struggles to overcome the effects of his captivity which includes the drugs they pumped him full of and he fights his desire for Saff as well afraid of his aggression but, Saff isn't afraid of his aggression, in fact it is a turn on for her, if she can only get him to see that they might have a chance. They also have to fight to save three human women who are taken form the House of Galen much to the annoyance of all the gladiators. This is another book full of action and scorching hot romance and it is a perfect blend. I highly recommend it and the series as a whole.

still a good story

blaines story was going to be tricky. he was indeed a tortured man. I think, like book 3, it has to delve deep. it didn't quite reach the mark, maybe if the book was longer Ms Hackett could grab at the tortured soul a little tighter. story is good, heading out of the city and new characters of course.....great alien creatures too. steam and sass....all bought home nicely by Vivienne....the fantastic narrator
