A companion to Homer Price, these imaginative and outlandish tales from all-American Centerbury will leave you in stitches. There's Grampa Hercules and his never-ending tall tales, Dulcy Dooner, the uncooperative citizen, unbusinesslike Uncle Ulysses and his friendly lunchroom, the flustered sheriff, the pompous judge, and more. In Centerburg, along with the routine of day-to-day living, the most preposterous things keep happening. But nothing fazes Homer Price! "Homer Price" is a bit funnier and better, in general. "Centerburg Tales" is worth a listen though. Homer and his pals are thoughtful and clever, and entertaining. The narrator does a fine job.

not quite as good as "Homer Price" (my opinion)

The book is divided into two halves, the first one is pretty funny, but the second one is even funnier than the first one

Funny,weird and just fun.

I love Homer Price but this had too many negative references to indigenous Americans that I then had to explain to the kids

Problematic discussion of Indigenous people
