Clear thinking; fair-minded analysis

Listening to this book post-Oct 7 2023. Although Goodman barely talks about Gaza, the analysis is still relevant, maybe more relevant than ever. He is such a clear thinker. Should be required reading for all politicians and diplomats.

Very good book!

If you are interested in why Israelies and Palestinains can not make peace this is the book for you. It is not a polemic nor is it an advocacy for either sides views, truths or propoganda. It is a highly intelligent book going over all the obstacles and in the end he makes a number of well thought through ideas how to improve relationshipx in which each side gets something.I thought I was knowledgable on the subject but I learned quite a bit new information. It is a book for intillectual provocation and new thought. I highly recommend this book for people who are willing to have their prejudices on this subject challenged. It is no t long nor difficult. I had a hard time putting it down.

Mixed feelings

I have studied Israeli history for decades. The first half of the book explains things very nicely and in good perspective. Unfortunately the second half drones on and on in the author’s dream world view of how the left and right should think to have a temporary peace. His views are totally nonsensical. I was so bored with the second half of the book while the first half stated facts the second half was his own personal nonsense.

Interesting, short, requires prior knowledge

This was an easy listen, some of the points are being repeated too many times for such a short book. I was hoping for a more religious position and interpretations of the different aspects of the catch. Nevertheless, a fun, educating though somewhat naive and a little bit optimistic read.

Great book will recommend to friends family and coworkers, I found the author to be both knowledgeable and neutral

Better Understand Left & Right

Listening to this book will help one better filter and understand the shouting matches within Israel, as well as some possible ways forward.

Would appreciate an updated book that addresses the judicial protests and how Oct 7, 2023 has impacted Israeli society.

Great content, poor and off putting narration

Why would they choose a narrator who clearly does not know hebrew? Bizarre narration that really threw me off. However, the actual content was great. Maybe better off just reading this until the re-record it.

A political yet pragmatic discussion about the endless Middle East conflict

I like the performances and overall perspective of the author about the conflict. Of course the book need an update after the October 7th events.
