Publisher's summary

Spanning more than two centuries in Ireland, Castle on the Rise unites the legacy of three women who must risk mending their broken places for life, love, and the belief that even through the depths of our pain, a masterpiece of a story can emerge.

When Laine Forrester travels overseas to attend her best friend’s vineyard wedding, she expects to find the bride on the brink of a fairy-tale life. But after a series of unforeseen setbacks, it seems the storybook lives they’d imagined are suddenly ripping apart.

With hopes of resurrecting a happy ending, Laine agrees to accompany the newlyweds to the groom’s home in Ireland - never expecting she’d be the one drawn in by its wide-open moors, backroads bordering the Irish Sea, and a mysterious castle that dares to keep its secrets hidden.

From the storied streets of Dublin to the shores of the Emerald Isle, Laine is drawn in to the land and its rich history. The castle ruins whisper stories of Issy - a photojournalist battling through the 1916 Easter Rising, and Maeve - the castle’s lady of legend, fighting for survival through the 1798 rebellion that started it all.

Spanning more than two centuries, Castle on the Rise unites the legacy of three women who must risk mending the broken places within for life, love, and the belief that even through the depths of our pain, a masterpiece of a story can emerge.

Wonder family time

My daughter is 13 my granddaughter is 8 and they both stayed in ear shot of the book the whole time I was listening! I would recommend this to any age group as long as they old enough to listen to it, girls especially. My 9 year old grand daughter has her eyes opened in a new way from listening to these 3’books with me when she was around.. the girls even requested it to be played while driving! That says allot for two girls who spend most their time talking non stop... so Thankyou I enjoyed some quiet time because of this series! They are heart warming and adventurous and romantic

Good story

Once you get how the 3 time lines is your able to keep up with the storyline completely. I love how the author wrote this and the characters strengths. Absolutely remarkable and very descriptive and accurate in the portatrial of each time-line. I definitely recommend this novel and I have already moved on to novel 3 in this series. Love it.

History and romance, perfectly blended on the Emerald Isle

I love this story. It had everything (history, friendship, danger, family, and love) and, as always, it’s so full of hope. This is one of my favorite book series.

Intricate and Haunting

Lane had no idea what she was in for when she and her daughter flew to France for her best friend’s fairytale wedding. Irish history unfolds through the story of two residents of Ashford Manor amidst the backdrop of Irish rebellion. Each woman shares the will to continue forward despite setbacks and tragedy forging a peace that withstands generations.
The narrator is a joy to listen to bringing each character to life in a complex tale. Love, honor, respect and loyalty are at the heart of this story. It moved me to want to live better in my own story.

Great history fiction combination

I love books that weave a story around true history. So…for me, this was well written, well narrated and I am looking forward to another book by Kristy Cambron.

Unknown gems from history revealed

When I started this book I thought it would be a fun love story. I was excited and pleased to learn about Irish history. Being 1/3 Irish myself I was imagining my ancestors being there with the characters.

Romance and intrigue

I suggest following along with the book as you read. It follows 3 story lines that are intertwined. It can be hard to follow along with just audio, but no matter how you listen it’s worth it. I really enjoyed the story

Beautiful!

I love this author, ND have through enjoyed both audiobooks! The narrator is excellent and the story is so beautiful! Cambron is such a great Story Weaver ! I love how the story jumps back and forth in time. The glimpses into Ireland's history taught me a lot as well!
