Sometimes life can feel a bit suffocating...

When a woman is found strangled in the London borough of Soho, the police think it's a suicide, but Violet Despuis knows better, and Cassie knows that if Violet thinks it's murder, it's murder. The two women find themselves needing to prove not only who committed the crime, but also that a crime was committed at all.

As Cassie joins Violet in investigating the crime, they quickly find themselves embroiled in a controversy that lands them on the front page. And just in case that wasn't complicated enough, Jake is being secretive for some reason, and Cassie is pretty sure someone is following them.

Cassie doesn't need to be a brilliant detective like Violet to come to the conclusion that they're in danger. Will they be able to solve the mystery before the next bodies discovered are their own?

Follow Cassie through the streets of London in this boxed set containing the following novels by Samantha Silver: Strangled in Soho, Stabbed in Shoreditch, and Killed in King's Cross.

After learning that she has been accepted into medical school, Violet keeps Cassie busy helping to solve crimes while Cassie decides if she really wants a life as a doctor after all. Even though Violet’s & Cassie’s lives are in danger solving each case, book 6 proves to be far more dangerous for both of them. At the conclusion of book 6, Cassie finally makes her odecision. This is a great series & I can hardly wait to read book 7.

I have listened to several cozy mysteries series and in most, the storyline is not exciting, has terrible editing, and is not intellectually stimulating. I have listened to the first 6 Cassie Coburn mysteries and have loved that the author is not speaking down to her audience. To me, the mysteries have become more suspenseful as the series has progressed. I will listen to more. Finally, the narrator and her narration was excellent!!

Smart Cozy Mystery

Diverting character relationship. One drawback is author's comical overuse of the phrase "made my way to" - a bit distracting.

one of the best cozy books ever

Good story and many details really well researched. Just needed an editor who understands that after prepositions the pronouns are in the objective case. It is not to who, but to whom. There were many times that this grammatical error showed up, and perhaps because I was listening it was so much more apparent.

Fun story, bad grammar
