Not all stories have a happily ever after

I liked this story, I never knew what was going to happen. This is the first book by this author I’ve listened to or read and I’ll definitely listen to his others.

Good but depressing

Existential terror level high. Don’t wanna say I regret it, it’s too well crafted, but it’s a real deep terror button-pusher.

Background noise

Super distracting everytime the narrator pauses and you can hear a clock in the background and other voices several times. Maybe invest in some sound proofing, other than that it was great.

Creepy and bizarre story

I truly liked the character development through the book. This story is not like what I normally listen too, and I found where the story went intriguing.

A nice little horror short story stretched pointlessly to novel length.

This book is a nice little short story that the author has stretched pointlessly to novel length. I enjoyed it for a while but started to lose interest 2/3rds of the way in. The final resolution is satisfying but it takes entirely too long to get there. Just not enough meat on the bone to justify it's length.
