What is the mysterious human “spirit" of Christmas?

Workaholic dragon shifter Peridot must answer this question. As a new exile to Earth, his future depends on how perfectly he executes his alien boss' assignment. Distractions are strictly forbidden.

So it's too bad Peridot's human holiday consultant is all distraction: sweetly generous, irresistibly curvy, and cinnamon-scented to unleash all his cravings....

Klutzy pet groomer Karmel is the queen of falling - on her face, usually, in front of the guy she most wants to impress. But when Peridot turns into her rescuer, she discovers the starched business suit conceals a hunky, protective, red-hot male more than capable of making her sugar plums dance the cha-cha. Can Karmel teach Peridot the true meaning of Christmas? Or are they both about to get burned?

Fire meets ice in this delicious prequel novella about a side character in the Onyx Dragon series. Contains holiday spirits, cookie disasters, and dragon shifter love. Heat up the kitchen, and unwrap this fun novella today!

Truly Delightful!

I really enjoyed Karmel and Peridot's Christmas themed romance. There is just so much sweetness and so many feels in this book. It is impossible not to fall and fall hard, for both these characters. Peridot is all alpha hotness, with a side dose of Grinch due to his complete lack of knowledge about everything Christmas. I loved how Karmel embraced everything Christmas with everything she was. These opposites made a very cute couple. This is a very fun read but they have pain and issues that weigh heavily on them that must be addressed and worked through. I highly recommend this book and this whole series. Powerful emotions, humor, drama, timely important themes, sweetness and steam are all rolled into one delightful package, these books should not be missed! I liked the narrator's voice. It was easy to listen to and helped me become immersed in the book.

Alien Dragons

I so enjoy this story. The storyline is interesting with aliens and the intriguing women who love them. Carnelian story is a Christmas story and they are my favorite. They all learn love, laughter and what Christmas is all about. The narration was good.

Even dragons need love!!!

Carnelian Dragons: Peridot is a wonderful holiday novella delivered by the soft and sultry voice cadence of the author’s own narration. The books pacing flowed smoothly from one chapter to the next as the story of dragon shifter Peridot and dog groomer Karmel is vivaciously brought to life.
Peridot has been given a research project by his dragon boss Sard Carnelian to find out what the human Christmas spirit is but if he fails its back to planet Draconis for Peridot! Klutzy and Sweet Karmel was recommended by his co-worker's mate to help Peridot with the research and what soon follows is a series of comedic turns of events, and misunderstandings that ultimately leads into a sinfully delicious, expertly crafted story of two individuals who finally come to realize just how worthy they truly are to each other, and the world around them. Highly Recommended!

Loved that the author narrated the story!!

Starla Night did an AMAAAAAZING job narrating Peridot. The way her voice told the story made it so sparkly and sugar sweet and I ended up getting a beautifully clear picture of the story which I sometimes don't get unless im reading the story myself. This is definitely my new favorite audiobook! It really helped me get in the Christmas spirit!

Christmas, Dragons, and Cookies oh my

This is the story of Karmel and Peridot, both of whom have been scarred by their pasts and in need of some holiday love.

They say authors read their own story best and I think that applies here. It was a lot of fun to listen to and I found it a really engaging listen. This is a fun Christmas story and I enjoyed hearing about these two finding their own holiday magic together. Honestly it was cute to hear the dragons all get into the holiday spirit and it would be fun to see how their second would go, too!

very juvenile type of writing and story.

couldn't get past the first chapter.
shallow characters and boring story line.
seems like there should be more character development and an actual beginning, rather than whatever this is supposed to be
