Publisher's Summary

The gods never should have opened Pandora's Box...

Nate Temple has been abducted by Zeus and is thrown into the middle of an Olympian family feud that could very well kick off the Omega War all by itself.

There is one weapon that Zeus believes will turn the tide. Pandora's Box. But his neglect left it on earth for far too long, and Pandora has found a new master to serve. Nate Temple.

Because Zeus put one thing inside the box that he never should have...hope.

And hope is a dangerous thing to leave unattended...

Nate will need every ally and every tool at his disposal to have a chance at surviving. The only problem is that none of those allies have any idea where he is, but they're scouring the world to find him. Before it's too late.

The only way out of this insanity is for Nate to face old demons, unite old friends, and outmaneuver plans that have spanned decades. The Dread Four must ride to save their brother, the Horseman of Hope, or everything will burn.

Even if they win, everything might just burn all the same. But will it burn with hope...or despair?

Almost can’t finish it

I hate all the build up for Nate and Callie and then you screwed it all and it ruins the whole thing. Stupid.. othello please.. neither of them gave a shit when the other was with someone else.. you ruined so much with this for me.. not happy with the crap everything and I mean everything lead to them two but nooo wanted to make it “interesting” and blow the whole plot out of the water.. STUPID

big balls, Karl's great.....waste of 13 books fing time, blah, blah, blah. F Kara A LOT. Oh and D**N SURE will NOT read another Nate Temple book. ..REALLY doubtful I'll finish the Penrose series either... pretty much the only reason I can say I'll finish the Quinn books is because 1. started with her 2. One of my favorites thus far

This book is a home run for the series. How he brought the past into the story and finally Nate gets some happiness.

Twisted and fun

I must say Shayne put a wonderful twist on all we have come to know as myth, legend or fairytale all in this one series. it's been 1 month since my friend recommended this to me and I've not listened to anything else.
If you're wondering if you should buy this book, let me tell you; "Hell yeah!"

(Some) storylines get wrapped up!

You know the story isn’t finished, but it was nice for them to wrap up some storylines. Too many books in this genre keep dragging it out. This series got close but hit a home run with this one.

Nate Temple

Oh wow, what a world wind of a story. Nate learns a lot about himself and love. This world is an amazing meld of pantheons and characters. A bit of a slow start, which is unusual for Silvers, but well worth the build up for the ending that throws painbows in your face! Richards does an amazing job with all the voices and emotions, love the whole series!

Great series

Bummed I’m finally catching up. It’s been a marathon finishing one book per day or two for the last month or so and now I didn’t get the last because I want to space it out a little closer to hopefully book 16s release whenever that is. This is a great book. Really went by super fast. There are a million places for this to go so I can’t wait to see where he takes us next

ending made up for the beginning( spoiler)

I did really did struggle to get in to this book. aphrodite and nate beginning scene just seemed forced. got through those as fast as I could. nates romance aspects made me want to at certain times throw my phone across the room. I was all aboard nate and callie. so much build up to their romance only for it to fizzle before it even got started. But was saved because I like the ending far more than I would have realized. aside that a very enjoyable nate temple action packed adventure.

That was a hell of a ride.

I did really enjoy this one. But I was also a little surprised by a lot of the things going on in the background. As always it was superbly performed and the writing was sublime. I love the snark in this series and despite first not being able to warm up to Nate, I now adore his quirky mind and even his horrible choices he sometimes makes. The four are bad mofos and I wish there more scenes with them, like in this installment. Keep them coming and never stop writing this world! I’m here for it

yet again. Shayne silvers is pushing the boundries

this book had a brick wall unable to decide what hes feeling. i have felt every emotion going through these. anger. happiness sadness fraughstration and more. I've found myself yelling at Nate Temple. Wild or tainted nipple. telling him hes a F***ing idiot. and how the answer is so obvious if only he could open his eyes. and each time. more twists and turns change everything.

Joel reads the books like a pro. when i was reading the hard copies i had fixed voices in my head for each character. and hes hitting the nail on the head with each one. great books by far. cant wait for the rest and wish i could own them all.

Thanks Shayne for yet another book that can bring someone as broken as me. out of my shell and feeling for the first time in many long years.

Best in the series yet

Leaving a comment here I'm never sure if the author actually reads it, in the hope that this one is noticed I can only say 'bravo sir 👏 I was gripped from the start to finish and desperate for more. The narrator had me thinking in his voice I was so absorbed.

An epic that has yet to end

I always think Shayne will tie up loose ends or reintroduce older characters in his classic level of Badassery that he normally does but with this he found a new level I'm now dubbing "silver's style" because I've never laughed gasped and in full fact cried as much as this man has made me in the last few years you truly are the king of the Freaks

Twists and turns and all the feels

Shayne never lets you down. There’s always an unfathomable plot and characters who share an intimacy that makes you smile, which everyone knows we need at this point in 2020. And don’t forget the awesome butt-kickings. Carnage is no different.

Dark (but never too dark) and intense at times, the story bounces along at an amazing pace. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments that make you spit your coffee. It was worth the wait.

May your enemies always taste the alicorn induced painbow!
