Publisher's summary

Being the meekest Winchester witch is...tough.

For Clove Winchester, that has never more apparent than now. Sure, she's got a new romance brewing with Sam Cornell - but her cousins, Bay and Thistle, are fighting her every step of the way on that front.

When her father approaches her with an opportunity to serve as an in-house psychic for the opening of his new inn, Clove jumps at the chance. It will be an opportunity for her and Sam to spend some much-needed time alone - and have some fun in the process.

Of course, since she's a Winchester witch, nothing goes as planned.

When Thistle and Bay - and their respective boyfriends - show up for the weekend festivities, and the opening activities are interrupted by an avenging ghost, the new inn is in a precarious position.

That's on top of Aunt Tillie's efforts to undermine the soft launch - and she's feeling particularly vindictive.

Can Clove and her cousins save the Dragonfly Inn? Or, is Clove in for a mountain of misery?

Note: This is a short novella set in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest world. It follows Something to Witch About and precedes Wicked Brew and Witch Me Luck. It does not take the place of regular installments in the series. It's just a short snapshot so you can get to know some of the other characters in Hemlock Cove. Thank you for listening.

Whiny

Didn't mind this book but found that the cousins were more whiny and argumentative than sassy.

Good story..Bad narration

Love these books! But this narrator was awful! The robot sounding ghost was very hard to listen too.

Ugh

The narration was terrible. Again, stop sounding like a robot. And every male voice sounds like you're talking through your nose.

Drama and witches, oh my!

Any witch way you look at it, someone else's family drama can be amusing!

Angel Clark's narration made the colorful characters engaging!

I love these ladies!

All though the reader was not very good the story was. These ladies seem to always het into more trouble. A quiet weekend turned into everything but that and aunt Tilley.

voices

The voices are absolutely awful. The person chosen to represent Clove's voice was not a good choice at all. I will be asking for a refund and will never download another book that this person has narrated again.

Please Bring Aris back...

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I've only just started listening to this particular Witches of the Midwest book and I'm sorry to say what I hoped wouldn't happen did, the narrator was changed from Aris to someone else. I hate to say it, but it is affecting my ability to enjoy the story because none of the characters sound the way they're "suppose to". I've noticed that all the subsequent books also have new readers. It really isn't good to keep swapping readers in a series. Please don't... Note: This really isn't a negative review about the current narrator, it's just a desire to have my Midwest Witches back...
