Love but hard to listen

I like the story but the woman reading is annoying with the mouth motions that you can hear. I almost stopped listening. Don’t like to hear the swallowing of saliva or smacking of the lips. I don’t know maybe it’s just me.

Disappointed

I love this author. This book disappointed me to many twists and turns without resolution!

Amazing read

I loved the storyline from beginning to end! My favorite narrators Shari Peele and Mirron Willis was off the chain! Moved it!

Okay book

Pros: The book brought to light a lot of current issues on how society views Black people. The book highlighted the injustice of African Americans when it comes to the police, sex trafficking of African American children,women,and men and the lack of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes
Cons: narrators were not good and the story was very predictable

Interesting read

As much as I felt sorry for MoNae she must remember what she did to get him now I do not believe in infidelity but she never give him a chance to figure out himself. It’s was all a hot mess sad part is that some folks real life.

Just okay

I was a little disappointed with this book. I'm a big fan but this tale just doesn't deliver.

Swallowing

The constant swallowing for the female narrator drove me crazy. I've listened to other books she's narrated and never had to listen to her swallowing. It really took a lot for me to not pay that any attention

Good storyline

I enjoyed the book. Had a little difficulty getting over the female narrator smacking noise at the end of a sentence.

I loved this. it makes you wonder about those dating apps for sure. didnt care too much about that voodoo stuff. and Kingston didnt deserve what he got, but he should have been upfront with his wife. that human trafficking is terrifying
