From Book 1:ADIRA

The machines came, and they trampled us all.

I have nothing left. No family. No friends. No home.

They harvest us. They breed us. They feed from us… There is no hope… Not until one fateful moment when my eyes open and I see something streaking across the skies.

What appears is like a demon before my eyes…

But can they be worse than the evil already upon us?I will just have to wait and see. FER'ROSailing across the stars for what feels like eons… we have followed our enemy to a little blue planet.

We had wanted to arrive before them… now I think we may be too late. But when we kill the first Scrit and I see the being drowning within its depths, I know I have to save it. And it… turns out to be a her. A female.

This planet has hope yet. I will save her and her kind. Little do I know… she’s the one who ends up saving me instead.

Dark. Steamy. Gritty. A thrilling romance intertwined in a plot that will give you chills.

***Captured Earth includes full-length apocalyptic sci-fi alien invasion romances featuring resourceful heroines and badass alien heroes who change their worlds forever.

There are triggers in these stories: graphic scenes involving violence and death, dark themes, and scenes of a sexual nature. Contains forced proximity and aliens with interesting tools. This series is not for sensitive readers or those easily offended.

This box set brought stories to life that were difficult to even think about. An alien race wanting to destroy Earth. The characters were interesting, the sex steamy the storyline blew me away! A must read.

Excellent!!

If you are familiar with this author then this is everything you can expect. The first book is the best and the last unfortunately is the weakest because it feels rushed. I started reading this series and once I realized there was this collection I picked it up and I do feel it was worth it. I think what makes this successful is the fact that it was done as duet narration which made the characters and their interactions more engaging. Overall I would recommend this collection as I think it is good value

Not perfect, but a good collection

I'll start by saying you get 5 books for the price of 1 so that's a great deal. That said I'm halfway through the 3rd book so I'm rating to that point but I'll revise when I'm done. I will finish this series but there are parts that are frustrating. Book 1 Arrival: Adira is scared to death of Farro and remains that way for over half the book. Farro saves her and is nothing but helpful to her but she remains soooo scared. Yes she was in a traumatic situation but he SAVED her! and at nauseam we have to listen to her. call him a demon. Once you get past that, around chapter 20, it does get good. Book 2 Base Zero: Again now Sam is scared to death of Gavar even though she lives side by side and they saved her and others. The good thing is that it doesn't last as long and once we get past the crap of being sooo scared, it does it good. Book 3 Cataclysm: And AGAIN, Deja is sooo scared and refers him as a demon over and over. That said it only last about 1/3 and once we're past that it get good. Also all three first books the MMC is accused of forcing a mating on the women. Really? you have such little faith in your fellow beings that are supposed to be noble? Hmmm... it makes me think maybe these "noble" being are really just trash? It so frustrating. I'm hoping the next 2 aren't going to be on rinse and repeat. Update: I finished the last two and they were by far the best of the series! Definitely not a rinse and repeat.

Very slow burn
