Publisher's summary

Zoe doesn’t need a man in her life—she’s confident, successful, and happy with the freedom of her single status. She simply can’t imagine settling down with any one guy. That is, until she is literally lifted off her feet and kidnapped by a strong and sexy Daen’su captain. Determined to regain her freedom, Zoe is willing to use any means necessary even if it means seducing her captor. The only problem is she might be falling into her own trap instead.

Je’lak is right in the middle of pulling a job when he finds himself in need of a human doctor—fast. Unable to risk exposure by visiting a hospital, he kidnaps the first doctor he can find, a delectable female with blond hair and a fearless personality. As they grow closer, Je’lak finds himself facing an unsettling question—is the doctor still his captive, or has his heart been captivated by her instead?

Okay

Je'lak needs a human doctor to treat the severely injured human ambassador aboard his ship and kidnaps the first one he can get his hands on- Zoe, who just came off of a long shift. She is not happy and tries to escape but is recaptured. She does what she can to save the woman, and quickly ends up in a sexual "relationship" with Je'lak, but is always on the lookout for a way to escape.

I listened to this on audiobook and it's a fairly quick listen. The story was fine, but didn't really captivate my full attention. Hunter Wolf did the narration. I liked his voice. Something about his tone reminds me of a voice actor I like, so it was nice to listen to him. But in general the story was okay.

Good Sci-Fi Romance

This was my first Lily Thomas's book. This is the third book in the Galactic Courtship Series, a Sci-Fi Romance. Je'lak and Zoe's short story is entertaining, and engaging. I liked Zoe's determination. She is strong, smart, and supportive. The storyline is interesting, and fast-paced. Great narration from Hunter Wolf. The Doctor is In

Zoey is kidnapped by aliens needing to care for a kidnapped ambassador from Earth. While carrying for her, she starts a relationship with the captain J”Lak. Unfortunately she also tries to escape and ends up from the frying pan into the fire. I thought she was courageous but impulsive. I did enjoy the story and the narration was good.

Je'lak and Zoe

Zoe (h) heads home after a grueling emergency room shift only to be abducted by Je’lak (H), a Daen’su captain, and taken aboard his spacecraft. She’s expected to treat and care for an injured human woman in the ship’s medbay. Zoe and Je’lak are both attracted to one another, and their relationship quickly moves into the hot and steamy realm, even as Zoe contemplates how to escape. A quick moving story with adventure and romance. While Zoe and Je’lak do have their own HEA, the ultimate fate of the human woman, Susan, is a cliffhanger of its own.

Captivating the Doctor!

This is a fast paced science fiction romance. It is a fairly short and quick read/listen. The characters are likable and strong. The story is about Je’lak and Zoe. She is on her way home after a challenging day in the emergency room. He is an alien badly in need of a doctor. He kidnaps her and the sparks fly. Such a good story. The narrator did a good job bring the characters and their story to life.

Zoe and Je’lak

Zoe's an ER doc, who doesn’t really get along with her superiors. But she’s amazing at the she does! Enter Je’lak. A ship captain who has a hurt human on board. How hard could it be to borrow a human doctor to help her and be about to finish their job.

Amazing series! I’m so invested in Lily Thomas’ galaxy! The heroine is so strong and always surprises the hero how capable she is!.

Zoe and Ja'lek

Zoe is an impulsive, strong-willed, and fiercely determined ER doctor. She just had a run-in with her boss and was suspended. On her way home, she is abducted by Je’lak, who urgently needed to find a human doctor, as his captive is in poor health. In capturing Zoe, he may have overdosed her. He is a nice guy, bumbling and inept at times, while also being in charge and in control. Despite Zoe’s animosity, they fall for each other. This is a charming and at times funny story. Narrator did a good job. I did not read the previous books, but plan to now.
